This agency: Talked up the tenants (on same day alternative offer received from another agent), turns out one of them was brother to Marsh and Parsons employee. Over eight months, this agent never visited the property once, despite alert/evidence that there was an illegal cat and extra tenant present for the entire period. Allowed the flat to be left in a squalid and uncleaned state and still never visited the flat. Misrepresented to the landlord the procedure for recovery of landlord payment for remedial works and obtained grossly over-inflated estimates for work. Refused to repay 5% management fee for the eight months fees (approx. £800) to landlord despite nil management. The landlord is still some £1000 out of pocket for repairs to decoration/cleaning/joinery/lighting and if also include that carpets had to be replaced in entirety because of cat excrement (because the stains could not be removed by cleaning) then the landlord is out of pocket £4000.
