I was delighted by the service I received from Jones Robinson when selling my mother’s house in Devizes, a mature three bed semi in a good location. I had four local Agents value the property, three were very close to each other, however the fourth, a prominent local agent valued it at £70k less than the others (£250k rather than £310-320K)…. Their logic was setting it low would trigger a “bidding war” that would end close to £300,000. I thought this was nonsense and felt they perhaps focus on a high volume of sales rather than getting the best for sellers from a smaller number of completions, I’m pleased to say I was right. With my goal being to raise the most amount cash possible (for care home fees) but also complete by a certain date, Jones Robinson understood that getting the right buyer was as important as getting the highest price (our eventual buyers were first time buyers, chain free, living in rented property with a good deposit – perfect). Also, all the other agents significantly dropped their commission fee with very little persuasion, however Jones Robinson held their ground and only shaved a small amount off theirs with the reason being if they go too low they simply can’t offer their personalized high-quality service, this gave me confidence that I could push them to work hard on my behalf on the basis you get what you pay for. And that’s what we got, an excellent 'premium' service. Great communication, excellent ‘diplomatic’ skills from staff when there were inevitable ‘bumps in the road’ during the conveyancing period. All in all, I feel I received excellent service – yes, I could have saved myself a couple of hundred pounds if I’d gone with another agent but could that also have resulted in not getting the buyer that we did.

Andrew and his team have been brilliant for us from start to finish with the purchase of our home in Devizes. We had to sell two properties to buy this one which made things all the more complex, and with one falling through after 5 months, it took a lot of work to keep things moving forward positively. Andrew was instrumental in helping to ensure everything stayed on track, and that we were able to complete on the property we desperately wanted to buy for almost 8 months in the end.
