I'm as mistrustful as anyone can be of people who ask you to hand over large amounts of money. I used to count estate agents within this category. But! On this journey, I've learnt to relax and chill out. I have just bought a flat through Streets Ahead and from my initial house viewings with Ebi at the start of the year, through to seeing a property with Faye, to putting in an offer with Kai and actually buying the place with Clare, I have to say they have been hands-on and helpful. They also talked through niggling worries with me and took my point of view on board and helped me weigh up pros and cons without me feeling they were just saying what I wanted to hear. Clare Meade has been especially on the ball with chasing solicitors, and explaining what needs to be done when, and also arranged for an electrician to see the place over when I was out of the country at no extra cost to what I would have paid with my usual electrician. I'd also like to thank Faye Godfrey for just being a good listener after I confronted a burglar and needed to talk AT someone for half an hour. True story.
