Very friendly staff

JW Woods have acted for us on a few sales and have always been helpful, communicative and have offered sensible advice when bids were received. Two of our properties were very difficult to sell but JW Woods remained patient and secured sales at prices we were happy with. The only reason I haven't awarded 5 stars is there is a lack of communication between their lettings and sales teams that can be a bit frustrating but overall, I would recommend them.

Very disappointing response from the Manager when attempting to obtain a valuation to rent out property, After another very helpful member of staff had arranged for a valuation to be done the manager decided to cancel this and look for comparables instead quoting prices from 2 years ago. Bad attitude and service sadly this is what gives estate agents a bad reputation.

From failing to put our property on Rightmove until prompted (they thought it was there) to the shocking communication received when we accepted an offer we would never recommend using Woods. We were given a "Sales coordinator", Kelly once an offer had been made, this in itself took weeks. Then between both myself and my partner across a 3 month period we made approximately 80 calls to Kelly, due to her lack of answering the phone, of which 3 were answered. We left voicemails and were repeatedly told she would call us back. If the phone line truly is that busy then employ more staff! Kelly instead generally preferred to send us emails even when we asked for call backs, which resulted in longer than necessary handling of many situations. We were also made aware by another staff member, that our buyer also had issues getting hold of Kelly so Woods rang us for an update one Saturday to pass on!!! Our solicitor was even shocked at how badly things were handled. When I decided enough was enough and tried to express my dissatisfaction (I emailed the branch manager) I was told by the branch manager, Adrian, that Kelly is a very competent member of staff and I was wrong - again not what you'd expect when expressing your experience. Please note Adrian also didn't call me after recieving my email I instead had to ring the branch! I have given 2 stars purely for the 2 staff members, Chloe and Tracy in the CLS branch who dealt with us before accepting an offer. They were easy to contact and very helpful. Overall I would never use nor recommend using this business if you expect a decent service level past the point of sale (which is actually vitally important). Having read the replies to previous reviews I have no doubt this situation/review will be dismissed by Woods even though they will state they take feedback seriously.

Disappointing experience. Took time off work to attend a viewing, only to have the agent discuss a live offer with the seller in front of me during the appointment. It made for a really awkward and unprofessional situation. While they later acknowledged it could have been handled differently, they ultimately stood by their actions. Needless to say, I wouldn’t feel confident trusting them to handle a sale or purchase. Basic discretion during viewings shouldn’t be too much to expect.

Ive emailed and husb has too about viewing a bungalow for sale. No response. Wouldnt like them to sell my home if they dont bother contacting people back!

Terrible experience from start to finish avoid this agent at all costs

Definitely not worth the money I paid them to sell my property. Very little contact once I’d received an offer which was from the first person who walked through the door within 1 week of being on the market. The after care was poor, the solicitor kept me up to date more than JW Wood. Very poor at helping my sale progress. My partner used JW Wood too for her property sale and her experience was even worse than mine.
