To be honest, I should've researched more into this letting agency on reviews for students specifically since all of the reviews I've seen after renting from the property have not been the greatest at all. After reading these reviews I can't help but agree with their problems. The only good reviews I've seen for this letting agency are those who are non students. I wouldn't recommend letting here for students as you'll end up paying the same amount as an ensuite for the whole year anyways since they ask for rent from July and August even though you will not be living there until September since they do not allow you to even leave your stuff there for the summer. I've been at three different accomodations for the three years of my degree and Martin and Co are by far the worst experience I've had. Don't get me wrong the house is quite lovely and spacious but hidden fees and not being notified when vistors are coming at all times are abysmal. I actually got woken up by a family who entered the building with their own set of keys and no person with them showing the property around and not me nor my roomates were notified that a visit was occuring. I legit finished work early that morning around 3am so I was hoping to sleep in. I would've just woken up early if they told us that there was a visit happening. This is not a specifc Martin and Co problem but the Canterbury council does not take out the bins either and since it's supposed to be your responsibility, Martin and Co will balme you for not cleaning the front of the yard, they will also blame you for messes or damages that was already previously there as well even if you have photo evidence. Don't even get me started on their refund method. I wouldn't recommend this letting agency if you want a great experience. There's other places in Cantebury
