They wouldn't let me rent a place they were advertising. I have never abused a property, I have always payed on time. I really do not know where they get their information from but it can't be a reliable source.
Very disappointed with Webbs when we first put our house on the market the two ladies that came out were lovely and very helpful. In the second appointment we talked through terms and conditions and they stated once our house was on the market if we took it off the market in the first 3months we would have to pay a £60 fee but once the 3months had past we didn’t have to pay the fee. Over 3months past and our house hadn’t sold so we decided to take it off the market. Since this Webbs keep asking for the £60 fee which we obviously explained about the 3months passing so we don’t need to pay this. They have said the free fee after 3months wasn’t true and have now threatened to take us to court if we don’t pay the £60. Other things we weren’t happy about with Webbs were the photos of our property they were awful! Rooms looked distorted because they’d tried to make the rooms so much bigger and the colours on photos looked awful from changing the exposure. There are much better estate agents out there than Webbs so I would not recommend.
Staff very pleasant, not a proactive agent but I used on the market alerts for new properties to view. Not impressed about not being told prior to purchase about ID verification costs 3 times more than solicitor ones and each this should be down to sellers to pay not buyers. Still going through buying process so hoping for smooth exchange
Not great to be honest, I was spammed with emails with properties that are not what you are looking for I expressed my requirements many times, for no one to think about changing them to accommodate my ideal house Took long to reply, with not really an understanding which lady you have to speak to regarding selling, house viewings, buying and enquires When asking to look at potential houses I am told that the seller won't entertain without my house on the market That's understandable except I've told multiply people at Webb's that I have the money to buy as a second house so should not be a problem Viewings got cancelled (I know it happens) but what about the updates to say it's now available to view Cancelations after cancelations (I know not your fault) just need to be clearer and communicate I got plenty of communication trying to get my house on the market or push a bigger ticket sale I'd advise to take more personal effort to make sure the customer is happy not just your sales quota The photos are extremely exaggerated (see photos) which just means you are disappointed when you go to see the house Lady who showed me around the first house seemed like it was someone just dragged from the street Overall unfortunately below mediocre at best in my opinion, I feel it's just been a waste of valuable time unfortunately The two star is only because all the staff are pleasant
Rang on Monday to enquire about viewing a property Was told someone would ring me back Now Tuesday afternoon and no call.
Can not fault Webbs in Hinckley. Brilliant service. the last year I have had to deal with the Cannock branch. I can’t say they haven’t helped when needed because they have. But how I get spoken to by two members of staff in particular, is terrible. Even though they are aware I suffer from anxiety, they felt the need to interrupt me and practically call me a lier. It’s a shame because if they didn’t treat me the way they did, I would have much more respect and a higher opinion for them. Lisa (I believe her name is) is very helpful and even stayed behind after work to help us, I can not fault her at all, just a shame some of her colleagues let that branch down.
Used these during the beginning of the Covid pandemic. To start off they were very professional until we accepted a sale, then it went downhill. Considering we were the sellers and paying a fee we would have expected better. As soon as the offer was accepted they stopped caring about us and seemed to prefer the purchaser. One young lady in particular was not a very nice person and we ended the transaction not on the best of terms. Cant say that I would use them again unfortunately which is sad considering up until the sale we had been very impressed with them.
During worrying times my girlfriend has been promised a phone call over 3 days ago relating to the purchase of our new house and we are still waiting , when I ring there is no answer during opening hours. Beginning to think we should have gone with different agent. Shame because until last week staff had been very helpful, now don’t want to know.
