Outstanding service

We have used Vincent Shaw to let our flat for the last four years and their service has been outstanding from the start. Christianne Tipler who has been our agent is very professional, attentive, responsive and has always managed to let our property in a short space of time. Their full management service is second to none. We had some issues with the property last year and Christianne organised for the different trades to have the work done. They take the stress out of being a landlord. We have been very pleased with VSs service and will recommend them to anyone looking for a competent, reliable and professional letting agent.

Excellent agency

As I’m finising my tenancy soon I would like to share my excellent experience about Vincent Shaw. They’ve been my agency for over 3 years. They are friendly, helpful and reliable people.. I would say that a communication is definitely their strongest side as I was always informed about everything in advance and they kept their word. I wanted to say a big appreciation to Christianne who was always very professional and supportive.

I was fated to find a Professional Experienced Personable Estate Agent - Jonathon Myles

I was the Executor to a difficult Probate and Estate and was stymied again and again by 1 of the benefactors that demaded the estate was dealt with by her term and conditions, throughout the proceedings - and not the wishes of the departed. I personally was at the lowest point of my life as nothing was proceeding and flooded with ridiculous demands and unlawful threats. I then had the Greatest Fortune of my life, namely Mr. Jonathon Myles 0 of Vincent Shaw I informed Jonathon of the whole back history and problems - and honestly it was like a light being turned on. On Jonathon's opinion and brilliant characteristics, we went to sale with none of the contentious isues resolved, and Jonathon assured me he could achieve bit by bit a resolution to each unresolved issue. After many viewings atanded by Jonathon, we was inundated with offers.. It became a auction in the end with Jonathon acting as the auctioneer. I was astounded as the property was being bought, £25,000 - £30,000 over its original value. As soon as we received offers the benefactor who was objecting and demanding at every stage of the sale, suddenly saw £ signs before her eyes. Jonathon skilfully .negotiated each outstanding term or demand and slowly bit by bit got agreement on all outstanding issues. I said to Jonathon at the time he achieved the impossible. His communication skills are second to none, his devotion to achieve the Seller / Executor requirements were met fully.. I have never met a more focused and capable person - ideally suited to his job / profession. On all aspects of the sale I was explained to and informed and guidance was given.. Precise on the most minute detail. Nothing was too much trouble. Jonathon has objective focused and a skilled mind and a reader of people - were displayed throughout the sale process.. Jonathon made the whole procedure a pleasure, light and breezey yet professional, and it was easy to build a rapport of friendship and trust. Jonathon without doubt was the best thiing to happen to me - at the precise time I needed it. His expertise , experience and personable approachable attitude was in my opinion second to none. Jonathan is the best

Just purchased a property with VS and I must say that Jonathan went the extra mile to help us during some pretty difficult periods with both our circumstances and the buyer. He was a great intermediary when it was needed. The period from acceptance of offer to completion took 7 months and he continued to show perseverance, tenacity and initiative throughout. Fantastic chap and his commission would have been well deserved.

We have had mixed feelings about our tenancy this year. We have had a few issues that needed repairing that took up to 2 weeks to be fixed, however this was due to the unresponsive landlord, not Vincent Shaw themselves. The agents were always very apologetic about the lateness of things being resolved, and we understand that they had to wait for confirmation from her before carrying out work for us. We are currently in the middle of a deposit dispute, in which the landlord has demanded a substantial amount for completely unfair reasons. Vincent Shaw have been very fair and understanding towards us and are doing what they can to work towards a fair deduction. Communication has always been very good, and we would like to add that Vincent Shaw no longer represents this particular landlord. Thank you to the agents who have understood that this deduction is unjust, and are doing everything they can to help us out, instead of just letting us pay it. A very fair, and well communicating estate agents.

Not bad

Fairly good response and helpful advice. Very understanding of our circumstances and acted well as an intermediary between buyer and seller.

Disappointing

If you’re after a quick sale, they’re good and they’ll probably help you. But if you are after the best possible deal, don't count on it and expect to be cornered into accepting whatever works to their greatest advantage. If they stand to gain by helping others on the chain more than you, they will - no matter who’s paying them.

Dreadful

I`ve rented a flat for one year from this agency. In one year, the toilet was blocked for more than a month, the cooker and the washing machine broke down.The flat was leased with a kitchen window broken (could not be open), and with very old furniture. We paid 300 pounds for references, 1000 pounds deposit and, at the end of the contract we were proposed to receive 300 pounds from the deposit because the agency called three different companies to unblock the toilet without even asking us. Christianne Typler, the residential manager encouraged my partner to pee in the bath every time we were phoning to highlight this issue. One of the agents, Alberto who came to show the flat to future customers barely knows english....Very, very disappointed and I would not recommend anyone to use their services.
