Don't go with these they give eviction notices every 6 months for wanting repairs done as they won't fix them just kick you out. Rubbish place, pay my rent all time and they have given me 4 eviction notices. Do not rent of them at all
Avoid at all costs. The properties are not inspected before new tennents move in, we moved into the house over a month ago now 14th May 24 and it has been confirmed by Faye when we visited the office the other week that it was last inspected August 23. There was damp in the spare bedroom which we were told would be sorted asap it took a month to arrange this to be addressed, when we moved in we found damp and fluffy mould in the kitchen which we reported and is still outstanding and a number of other repairs which have been outstanding since before we moved into the property which the agents and the landlord don't seem to have any intention of dealing with and have simply been removed from the outstanding repairs on our account - the damp in the spare roon being the only one that anything is finally being done about. It takes days for them to respond to emails and furthermore I sent a formal complaint about this to the assistant manager Caitlin over a month ago now - the complaints procedure states that you should get an acknowledgement within 3 working days, I sent this 24/5/24 it is now 27/6/24 and I have had no response to date. Do not rent with Martin & Co all you will get is stress and I will continue to let everyone I know know that this is the sort of experience they can expect if they do.
Rented a property with these, and the central heating did not work, place was full of damp , leak in roof a window had a bog hole ...reported numerous times ..severely let down ...i will never ever go private again after this experience
SCAM artists i paid £138 for a holding deposit and because i failed credit check they have refused to give my deposit back. Im now £138 down! i will be taking this further

Rang to ask to view a property but no answer.I left a message but next day when they still hadnt returned my call I rang again. This time spoke to lady who tried to put me thru to sales.She said someone would ring me back. This was 5 days ago. So the person in the bungalow in Byland Close I would have dearly loved to have viewed your property
Me and my husband been calling Blackpool office for a few days to arrange a house viewing on Ramsey Avenue. My husband even made online enquiry and left his mobile no. We keep on calling the office more than a few times but no one pick up the call. That’s shocking and made us wonder how do they sell the house without picking up the call and arranging the viewing with potential buyers.
Really disappointed maybe because I'm on benefits they dont respond to emails or messages paid a holding deposit, waiting for reference checks to come through. The day after the come they put the property back on the market. Homelet tell me I've got a provisional moving date of September 22nd, yet cannot contact martin & co. I dont think they even look at emails or they just put into bin. Once they have taken the deposit they dont care. The customer service is not good. If a customet has lost out on a house or the reference checks are not accepted then shouldn't you contact the person in question. I've worked in customer service in the past and this is not how you treat people. Going to update because I recall something that happened. I received a phone call from this place and it was from the boss who acted like it was a mistake phone call. Only found out when I googled the number back. Like I said rip off company staff are only interested with taking your money and afterwards no customer service at all. The member of staff I was dealing with at the time left the job and was working somewhere else according to her email to me. Do not rent from these people con artists. I never got my money back or ever a phone call or email back after me trying to speak to someone. Everytime i was told nobody in office or I would get a call back. It lived over an hour away at the time so it wasn’t a case of I could pop into the office when I could.
Moved into this property with my partner to find it was a complete and utter state. When I viewed the property over 1 month prior to moving in, they said that they would clean the black mould from the bathroom which was fine. What a shock when we moved in to find the black mould was still there and the entire flat was a mess and hadn't been cleaned at all. My partner had to take 2 days off work because of stress and physical exhaustion from all the cleaning. There was no sense of urgency from their side when we called to stress how bad the flat was. They've still not resolved the issue and we have been in the flat for almost 1 week now. We continuously have to wear a face mask when we use the bathroom. It just makes me wonder how they can run a business like this and don't seem care at all. The bottom line is that the flat should have been cleaned and checked over before they handed over the keys, it's not rocket science.
