I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this letting agent who was my property manager. Throughout my tenancy, I repeatedly reported ongoing damp, mould, and leaks affecting multiple areas of the property. This included visible mould growth, water damage, and consistently high humidity levels. The agent was made aware that the humidity in the property was above 80%, and I provided evidence showing it reached as high as 92%. Despite this, the issue was not properly addressed and I was largely ignored. The agent was also aware that I was pregnant at the time, which made the situation even more concerning given the well-known health risks associated with damp and mould. Repairs were only initiated after we informed them we would be moving out, despite these issues being reported consistently over a period of more than five months. The agent is also aware that I experienced damage to personal belongings as a result of the damp and mould. Despite raising this, I received no support or meaningful response. I also had to continue paying rent, while staying with relatives as the damp and the mold got so bad, which financially impacted me and added additional unwanted stress. However, when we asked can we leave the tenancy early as the living conditions was bad, we was told we would have to pay a lot of money and would have to continue paying rent until new tenants moved in. I formally raised a complaint and requested an investigation into why this happened, including asking for a copy of the agent’s complaints procedure and what redress scheme they are registered to. This was sent on 26/04/2026, however over a week later I have received no response or acknowledgment. The lack of communication, failure to act on serious maintenance issues, and disregard for their own complaints process is very concerning. I would strongly advise others to document everything carefully, as my experience has been that issues are not handled in a timely or professional manner. I have chosen not to name the specific agent individual involved in this review, however the issues raised are accurate and supported by documented evidence. I am now seeking independent advice regarding this matter.
