I’m extremely disappointed with the dishonest and unprofessional conduct of this estate agent (Stuart Bock from Maidenhead). I was seriously interested in purchasing a property and was told by the agent that the seller had decided not to sell. However, I later found out that the property was in fact sold to someone else. This misleading information wasted my time and eroded my trust completely. Transparency and honesty are the bare minimum in this industry, and unfortunately, this agent failed on both counts. I would not recommend their services to anyone looking for a reliable or trustworthy experience.

Thank you for your review and sorry for the time it has taken for us to investigate into your comments, we have now heard back from both Stuart and the seller.
The seller had taken their property off of the market in May 2025 for a week, a previous viewer had exercised their right to offer on the property as they had already seen it before and by law Stuart had to put forward the offer this within 24 hours of receiving such offer. The offer was accepted which then meant the property was re listed as sold subject to contract.
Stuart had made you aware of what offer the owner would be willing to accept in order to sell the property to you but you did not want to offer that price - which is why you lost out on the property. What muddied the conversation of offers with yourself and Stuart was your husband’s call to Stuart offering him cash to secure the sale at a lower price than the seller wanted to sell for. He informed the owner of this and such both him and the owner agreed they wouldn’t be able to sell you the house - The seller has also confirmed this.
Stuarts reputation and trust with his owners means everything to him and is a big part in why people use him and although he has said to us he had very pleasant viewing experiences with yourself but after the cash comments made he just cant recommend you to any seller he is protecting.
