We are really sorry if issues were not sorted out quickly enough for you - often we have to wait (and sometimes, chase) for authorisation from the landlord and, where we are asked to gain multiple quotes from several contractors, this can inevitably lead to delays. Dear Fiona, Thank you for your comments. While it's absolutely true that in some cases rents in Bath can be high, this really isn't something that Zest or any other agent has direct control of. In fact agents often provide realistic rental valuations for a landlord which do not meet with the landlord's aspirations. In such cases agents are obliged to take instructions from the landlord and do not set the level of rent. As a rule it is the number of properties let rather than the price of those properties which is of greatest value to the agent. Bath is of course an extremely popular place to live and as with any situation when demand for a product or service outstrips supply, higher prices are maintained which in turn inevitably creates market conditions less favourable for the consumer than the supplier. It is not the agent who dictates the trend of rental prices. At Zest, we genuinely value specific customer feedback and we go out of our way to make sure we treat everyone with empathy and respect be they landlords or tenants. We are proud to conduct our business in an open, fair and transparent way so we would really like you to get in touch so that we can understand which of our many properties you are referring to because your comments seem to reflect a general feeling towards "estate agents".
