They spoke glowingly of the Basingstoke team and after 12+ months we can only endorse that view. Nothing is too much trouble and the advice given is always balanced and fair. Having seen the number of negative comments for Belvoir Lettings and read through them I wanted to make it known that although there sounds to be some 'bad apples' in the Belvoir tree that by no means represents the other offices. I have been using Belvoir Basingstoke for the past 2 years and have absolutely no intention of moving to another agent at this time. After interviewing many other agents in the area I found Belvoir to be the most honest, open, trustworthy and impartial agents to deal with and they have only got better over time. I have never experienced any 'leaning' toward the tenant or the landlord, consummate professionals. This may be coming across as a fraudulent review but believe me if they were not putting the effort in that they are doing with me I would be the first one to pick them up about it. Having read some of the experiences people have had with other offices I felt it important to try and balance things. I cannot speak for any of the other offices having not let through them but what I can say is anyone looking to do business with the Basingstoke branch should definitely not rule them out based on instances else where in the country/company.
I can't disagree more with the negative comments that I have just read about Belvoir. I am in a single-sex partnership and have experienced no end of bigotry and discrimination from other agents in Basingstoke, but have found Belvoir to be absolutely wonderful. They were originally recommended to us by Polish friends, who coincidentally who had experienced similar discrimination elsewhere. Whilst I have selected "I am a tenant" which was true, I am now in the process of moving through work and the house which we have recently bought will be given to Belvoir to manage as a direct result of the manner in which they managed the property we lived in. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they always kept appointments, dealt with maintenance issues promptly and I can't imagine them ever entering a tenant's home without their knowledge and permission. And, they are not lying when they say their coffee is good. Not only are they professional and accommodating, but they all (Laura especially) have a great sense of humour. Really great folk to deal with.
I am shocked by all the negative reviews about Belvoir. My experience at Basingstoke was totally the opposite. I experienced an excellent service from start to finish. I used them for Tenant Find only. Mike provided lots of valuable advice on all sorts, answered all my questions in full and gave me plenty of his time. The references and credit checks were carried out and a suitable tenant found and set up effIciently. I feel very happy with the service and would recommend the Basingstoke office with no reservations whatsoever. I can only conclude that as Belvoir is a franchise there is a variance in the service throughout the country.
Slightly tricky sale for multiple reasons. Belvoir superb when first buyer dropped out, marketing for new buyer then following through the sale. The move manager, Natalie, was absolutely superb liaising with the two firms of solicitors, us and the buyer. I have always used Belvoir for property rental and found them excellent. Having decided to see this house they provided a brilliant responsive service.

I couldn’t have chosen a trickier time to do my first house move in 30-odd years – but Belvoir Basingstoke smoothed the way in all departments. Their market knowledge and good strategy meant I got more than 10 viable offers on launch day – almost all above asking price. When deciding to sell our home earlier this year we chose to use the Estate Agent Belvoir. We had considered online agents but felt a traditional agent would be better for us due to the fees being paid on completion. Jamie Bennett came out to do a valuation and explain the processes and fee structure, which we thought was very reasonable and competitive. My wife and I were very impressed with his punctuality and professionalism, and general friendliness when dealing with our inexperience. Jamie then booked in for the photos and returned with a very impressive camera system that captured fantastic images of our property. Once all pictures were done the property went to market and we very quickly had a number of interested parties. We accepted a full price offer 3 days after the house being on the market. Jamie even talked us through the positions of each of the buyers to help us make the most informed decision. Once we had accepted the offer we then began dealing with the Belvoir Move Manager Natalie Painter. Natalie was very helpful and courteous, and kept us updated on everything that was going on with the sale. Additionally, Natalie also kept us updated with the whole chain, and when some of the chains solicitors were having communication problems, she stepped in to keep the whole process moving. Had it not been for Natalie I think that we would not have completed before Christmas, or may have even lost the whole sale. Due to delays my wife and I had decided to break the chain for our onward purchaser ourselves, but Natalie still spoke with our purchase chain to give us updates on their progress. Being honest we had more updates from our Agent than the sellers Agent. Once we got to completion Natalie gave us all of the information we needed to make this as seamless as possible, and even provided suggestions on who to contact post sale to ensure all relevant parties were updated. Again very helpful as there were several we had not considered ourselves. Overall the service provided by Belvoir was exceptional, especially from Jamie and Natalie, and should we have need of an Agent again in the future we both hope that Belvoir, Jamie and Natalie would be there to help.
