I am sad beyond words, I don’t know if it’s Mann Canterbury be held accountable or the landlord. I just got the keys to the property. I am give a star to Holly and Jazmine who helped us with the process. But taking 3 stars away for receiving the house in a horrible state. 1) I received a key bunch with over ten keys, only 1 Works. 2) when we got to the house, the lights are not working, the freezer we asked for which was told to us is installed was not there. 3) windows don’t open and the extract above the hob doesn’t work. 4) we were coughing in smoke, because there was no freezer, we had to cook all the non-veg that we had when we moved. It was heart breaking to be honest. We are so bummed.our references took time, it doesn’t mean the landlord or agency didn’t have time to fix these issue . Do they know check the property before handover? Inventory list says, fire deductor does work, and bunch of other critical things — I am surprised by this.
Incredibly slow with the processes, inefficient and always favours the landlord. Thankfully our landlord was great, but whenever we had to deal with the agency, it was a nightmare.
I had a viewing booked in Canterbury at 10:00 am with someone named Jazmyn Denise. I called the company at 10:00 am, they said that the guide is getting late due to traffic. Waited for an hour with no further updates. No one picked my call again and never bothered to give an update.
Honestly I don´t know where to start. But after speaking to their Regional manager it all makes sense. First thing they wanted was to get us to speak to their specialist panel of mortgage brokes that can get more deals etc. In contrast to the last estate agents we bought from they wanted a fee up front etc. They were also keen to market our house for us and I asked multiple times to send me a some information oin their fees etc which was avoided 3 or 4 times. We have seen house that has been on the market for overa year, I spoke to the vendors son while at the viewing and he explained they weren´t in a rush and wouldnt need us to have a an offer on our house to accept an offer. I asked him and he said no he was happy because they arent in a rush. We were loking to put an offer in when a regional manager I have never spoken to calls up again trying to market our house, I told him I didnt get a good feeling from them and chose another estate agent we had a better experience withg and he went on to bash them for not being able to get photos for 2 weeks. I said the marketing on the other company and the treatment is much better and I was going to use them anyway and he proceeded to send a whstsap message. I get my name is difficult but I am dyslexic and a sales person and I make sure I spell peoples name correctly so I mentioned like I said before about trust and I will post the transcript below of the conversation.. You make up your minds if you would trust this person selling your house. Allun; Hi Farren, it’s Allun here from MANN. I’ve spoken to the owner, and it was as expected, once you are under offer, he will seriously consider any offer 👍 If you need anything else, please let me know 👌 Ferran: Thank you,, we will let you know. 👍 Ferran: Do we contact you or Zeyad? Allun; Totally up to you, I’m the regional manager for the area. So, feel free to speak to Zeyad, he is aware of everything 👍 Ferran: Thank you Allun, I will contact him. It´s Ferran by the way not Farren.. Like I said, as a sales person, trust is everything. I´m dyslexic and I get potential customers names right. Thank you Allun, I will contact him. It´s Ferran by the way not Farren.. Like I said, as a sales person, trust is everything. I´m dyslexic and I get potential customers names right. Allun; Not an issue, I just coped what was on the system, so apologies. Best of luck to you, when you get your photos in 2 weeks 😂 Clearly not if Zeyad has been emailing right Allun; So an e mail address and how a names been inputted in the system is clearly the same thing 😂 Ferran: Like I mentioned before, I didn´t get a sense of professionalism, from your company. You are the manager and speak to customers like this, which explains a lot. You have proved my point. I will speak to Zeyad directly when we have our house on the market, considering 43 Island road has been on the market for over a year I am sure 2 weeks won´t make too much difference. Allun; Professionalism, interesting, I merely answered a question. My professionalism, is getting the best possible outcome for my clients. Having been the top agent in my area for many years. It would suggest that I’m very good. I have informed Zeyad, and that’s fine. Being the best in the business, making a client wait 2 weeks for photos is ridiculous. Also, you said that the agent said said there are not many properties around you as evidence, again wrong. As I said Ferren, all the best to you 👍 [11:32, 06/05/2026] Ferran: Its ok Allun, I have take screen shots of this conversation for trust pilot, which is interesting seeing your reviews. Lots of unhappy people including no availability for photographs which is ironic. You have 3.2 rating with about 200 reviews. they have 4.8 out of over 1000 so yes I do trust them more. Allun; As I said to you best of luck to you 👍 take all the screen shots you want, I’ve got nothing to hide 👌
Unfortunately some senior management staff in the asset management team and wider company conduct themselves extremely unprofessionally and disrespectfully. This includes ignoring lawful requests, refusing to engage with leaseholder communication, and also profoundly unpleasant bullying and childish behaviour including slander and gossip. I have been appalled at the toxicity and deeply unpleasant behaviour displayed by Breckon & Breckon staff. I am currently in the process of a significant Tribunal and Ombudsman complaint, but Breckon & Breckon really need to start treating people how they would like to be treated, and show respect for people and their homes, rather than creating a deeply unpleasant and highly distressing experience for them.
We were excellent tenants who paid rent on time every month and maintained the property to the best of our abilities, yet Breckon & Breckon attempted to withhold £517 from our £1,125 deposit - nearly half of what we paid. They charged us …
Appalling service. I was recommended to this company and made an appointment for them to visit our property for a valuation. The appointment was confirmed by e mail, but unfortunately forgotten by their sales team. A subsequent phone call was promised to offer an online valuation. Unfortunately again it was forgotten. A really disappointing service.
We experienced extremely poor communication with a very unprofessional and rude attitude from the Barton Branch, I certainly wouldn't use them again!
No concern about the properties they let out, boarded up properties in residential area's of Canterbury, which was met with a poor response.
While some of the team are good, they’re severely let down by Paul and Neil who amount to the most helpless estate agents I’ve ever come across. Mann is set up to be the cheap agent in Canterbury that you go to when you want to sell or let on the cheap and the quality of service clearly reflects that. I’ll stick to independent agents in the city in future and not make the same mistakes again with any of my other properties. Had a very positive experience recently with Page & Co who are also based in Canterbury.
