Purchased a house from them a few years back, day i got the keys the house was absolutely putrid, thought in this day and age an estate agency would at least do a basic clean, bathrooms and toilets filthy with mould, fridge had been turned off with food left inside which caused the house to smell badly, when I approached Donald ross about the state of the home they state"its not our job to clean homes" so as far as future business is concerned that's a no from me, where I come from estate agents do a complimentary deep clean to welcome new owners to their home.

Put in an application for a tenancy. First call, estate agent was friendly, engaging, was answering all my questions that i had. Put in the formal application to the landlord, was told i’d kept be in the loop with any updates either by phoning or email. Couple days went by, heard nothing. I phoned up and asked if there was any update, nothing. Landlord still making a decision. Phoned up the week later, again. nothing. Landlord still making decision on who to take as their tenants, which is fair enough, if they have lots of applications. Estate Agent assured me that they would keep myself informed of any progress. Couple days went by and I checked rightmove, lo and behold. Property has had rent agreed. Normally, i would say fair enough, landlord has chosen someone who they think will be best suited. What is, annoying though, is the estate agent promising me specifically that they would keep me informed of any updates, even if landlord rejected my application. Will not be using their service again.
