Applied for a room. Told the landlord before hand that I needed to get the funding for the first month's big sum, which took a while, but I did prepare him. A couple of weeks later, I enquired to see if the room was still available - it was - and I told the landlord that I was waiting for the funding to be processed into my bank account as it was from a loved one via another country so the funding was gonna take a couple of days, the landlord rejected my offer and Martin & Co also rejected my application, even though I had the funds. I, then, enquired about another room being rented and was immediately rejected by M&Co. Very unprofessional how the whole situation was handled as there was a lot of miscommunication between me, M&Co and the landlord. I'll be avoiding you in future for rentals and buys!

Unbelievable conditions in their flats. I always paid on time, yet they couldn’t fix my mouldy wall for over a year. Be careful when renting from them.

Good morning, We believe that you have rented a property where we were involved initially on a 'tenant find only' basis with the landlord and so have not been involved with your tenancy since that point. At the start of the tenancy the property was in good condition with no mould or any other issues. Any maintenance issues should have been reported to your landlord for him to deal with. We are sorry that you have not found the landlord to have been amenable to resolving any issues you had, but unfortunately Martin & Co was not instructed to be involved during the tenancy itself. Quite unprofessional, first thing you got to chase them for weeks to get a call back. They never call back. Second, after a viewing and ask you to send an email, no response after that. Yet, they talk big. I’ve been trying to get them since last 3 months. Zero response rate & butter to make you feel good.

Dear Alex, We are sorry that you have felt ignored by us. That was certainly not our intention. Unfortunately supply and demand of rental properties in the Yeovil area is such that letting agents are struggling to contact the many dozens of enquiries we get for each and every rental property that goes on the market. For the flats you enquired online for, we received 30-40 online enquiries in the first day or so, together with 10-20 phone calls. We have to stop the number of bookings at 10 and it is impossible to accommodate all enquiries. That said, we do try to respond to everyone if we can so I apologise that on this occasion you felt that you didn't get a response. The team have now tried to contact you to arrange a viewing of any flats we have left on the market, so please do give us a call on 01935 420555 should you wish to do so. good luck with your flat-hunt.

Absolutely shocking. They have been DISGUSTINGLY rude and disrespectful towards a family member of mine (WHO PAYS THEM). They don’t send the appropriate documents and misinformation about their property visits. The estate agents have been really unprofessional and genuinely unpleasant to work with. I really would not recommend to ANYONE. Absolutely vulgar company!

Another horrible estate agency in this lovely town. Be aware of 112 Preston Road in Yeovil. There’s a major mould in the room and toilet. Also a major leak every times rains. Lack of communication with the agency members and landlord. They claiming “HIGH QUALITY ROOMS” which is a false statement. Shame on you

Was an okay place to live however, that apartment needed alot of repairs doing. Was very cold for the winter last year and had to buy a heater, also the water was set on a timer making it difficult to shower at certain times, taking into consideration, finishing a night shift at 10am. Lastly, I was charged for cleaning when I moved out despite getting the place very nasty. I cleaned the best way I could before moving out.

Dear Ms Charles, we are disappointed that you have decided to give us a 1 star review. The shared house that you resided in has gas central heating and so was not cold during the winter. We managed the boiler breakdown (obviously not our fault, these things do happen) last year very efficiently and a new boiler was installed within days of the initial breakdown. You were provided with electric heaters whilst this took place. The reason you were charged a small amount for cleaning (£54) was because you left the room in a much dirtier state than when you moved in. Your tenancy agreement states that you should leave the property in the same state of cleanliness. At all times all staff here have been courteous and pleasant towards you and any charges were fully explained and you were given the opportunity to dispute if you had wanted to. You accepted the cleaning charges without argument. Nevertheless, if you feel that you had a bad experience renting through us we do apologise and take your comments into account.
