Honestly the worse, moved into a property with the promise that the mould would be sorted prior to moving in, it never was. Despite constant follow-up to pathetic excuses. Decorated the entire house out of my own pocket as it was a state when moved in (yes i had permission) to then find when moving out they want to take my deposit for painting. Absolut joke of a company, quick to take your money but God forbid you ask to live in a safe house. Only lasted 8 months as my children got ill from mould

We've carefully reviewed your comments and have a response we'd like to provide. Contractors attended the property on several occasions, and all inspection reports concluded that the presence of mould resulted from inadequate ventilation within the premises. It was recommended that the wardrobes in each bedroom be removed to facilitate improved air circulation; however, this recommendation was declined by yourself to avoid disruption. All necessary electrical works were completed prior to the commencement of your tenancy to ensure the property complied with the required safety standards. Furthermore, all maintenance issues reported during your tenancy were addressed and resolved promptly and appropriately. During your tenancy, you requested consent to repaint the property throughout in magnolia. Upon completion of the tenancy and following the checkout inspection, it was observed that the kitchen had been painted grey. Acting on the landlord’s instruction, we submitted a claim for redecoration costs through the Deposit Protection Service (DPS). The matter was subsequently reviewed by an independent adjudicator, who determined that the funds be awarded to you rather than to the landlord. For the avoidance of doubt, Martin & Co have not ‘taken money’ from you, as alleged. The deposit claim and subsequent adjudication were managed entirely by the DPS in accordance with their prescribed procedures.

Really bad experience, not very supportive had to wait few months to get things sorted at property. (Took most/ all of the deposit with silly excuses). Even after cleaning everything. They took around 400 pounds just for cleaning when we had already cleaned the house completely ) we deep cleaned the carpets aswell. First approach is really good but end process is really bad. Original landlord is cool tho so next time guys please try to go with direct-landlords than these people or try other agencies Just our experience with them was really bad (Worksop) 2/10. We didn’t have any issues from same agency in Chelmsford branch amazing experience 10/10 service. Hopefully they can learn from them how to deal with customers and how to handle property properly Thank you hopefully will never see you guys again Bye bye

We regret to read of your review and respectfully disagree with the claims made. Following your moving out of the property, our checkout process revealed personal items left at the property, which needed to be removed, and cleaning of the property in general was required to bring it back to the standard the property was at when you took possession. We accept the end of tenancy process took longer than all parties would have liked, but with an overseas landlord, and us awaiting their instructions, this could not have been expedited any quicker.

Hello, I called you about renting a property, but she was incredibly rude and actually hung up on me! I'm really confused as to why she reacted that way. All I did was ask about the property! If she doesn't enjoy her job, she should consider quitting and let someone who is more respectful and calm handle it. This is not the right way to rent or sell properties. I do appreciate your agency for being friendly and helpful, but that kind of attitude is completely unacceptable. Having a bad attitude is like having a flat tire - you won't be able to go anywhere until you change it.

We were tenants with them for 5 years, didn’t even bother to let us know the landlord was selling the property, never pushed for repairs to be done when reported, everything too much trouble since they took over from willow, make sure any correspondence with them is WhatsApp or emailed for proof as they will deny knowledge of it, We were given a section 21 then told we could stay beyond the date so the landlord could still get some rent till the sale went through, when we refused & moved out, the landlord helped by Martin & Co tried to keep our deposit even though they knew what he was claiming for wasn’t part of the deposit scheme, thankfully after submitting all our evidence we got the full amount back, after waiting two months for it to be resolved. So warning do not use this estate agents, we paid our rent on time for 5 years & were treated appalling by them.
