Very professional, friendly staff. Knowledgeable about the area and managed our expectations pretty accurately. Would definitely recommend.
Commercial contracts and general admin is well taken care of and generally well managed. I find the accounts a little confusing at times, but this is probably my lack of accounting experience, rather than necessarily a shortcoming from Curchods. With regards to maintenance/repairs, being absent overseas as a landlord, we are reliant upon the agent to sift out real from apparent problems. This element sometimes seems a little missing in that there is a reluctance to advise upon decisions of whether an issue really needs to be addressed or whether it is just an observation from the tenant that may be reasonably ignored. Having said that, once a decision to go ahead with works is taken, the actual management and administration functions are pretty well done. Overall, Curchods have been a much better than average lease manager.
Acted professionally and politely at every step. Found great tenants.
I bought a house thru Andrew. He is responsible and helpful. Really appreciate about his kind help. A happy deal with him.
I initially gave them one star as my husband and myself had not very pleasant experience with a couple of agents in their Kingston office (still left my initial comment at the end). However, they tried to make it right after we made an official complain to the director and our landlord. So I thought they deserve to get reviewed again after all the hard works they've made to resolve our problems. Michael, their Group Managing Director, is very genuine and trustworthy. He visited our place to investigate the issues all by himself and logged everything in details then he put all in action straight away. We were appointed with 2 new agents to look after our issues and they were very helpful and fairly fast in responses. It still took a couple of months to get most of things sorted but that was just because of the bookings with technicians. They were great with follow-ups and fast responses through out the whole process and we are very happy with our place now. I want to say special thanks to Michael for being very kind, genuine and supportive. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Initial review:Utterly disappointed with their service. They don't even deserve one star. The worst agent we've ever dealt with. Recently rented a flat through this agent in Kingston area but had to chase them up for over 2 months for a few issues as soon as we moved in but no one seems to care once they got the money. And there is no such contact/email details for official complain whatsoever on their website or anywhere. How sneaky. Hundreds of calls and emails. Lies after lies then no response. This is totally mis-selling. Maintenance promises on their contract is purely just a lie. Don't trust this agent. Avoid if you don't want to get tons of stress and ruin your new life plan.
My tenant handed in their notice and I asked Curchods to find another tenant. It definitely took rather longer than I had hoped to get a tenant witha few false starts (hence not an excellent rating), but once a tenant was found, the process was very efficient and speedily done. As it happened, the new tenant wanted to move in very quickly so I had a very short void, although I am hopeful it will not be so last minute next time. Overall I am very satisfied with Curchods Lettings.
