After viewing a property from the Wanstead office, I was the first to an offer in writing. The Wanstead Branch Manager replied that he'll get back once he hears back from the vendor. 10 days later, the property is marked sold. In that period, I called the office several times, it is near impossible to get through to the office as they are heavily under staffed. I never got a callback or an email reply. I was willing to match the asking price, but the agent did not engage with me at all and was quite difficult to get hold of. If you are thinking of selling a property via this agent, think twice because they are not interested in achieving the best price for the client, they are just interested in getting a sale and counting the commission - they have their own interest and not that of their client at heart. In Wanstead area, Stow Brothers and Petty Son and Prestwich are much better agents.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Hi Jamal, your offer was presented to vendor, as per our legal obligation, but it was unfortunately not acceptable and the vendor opted to accept a competing offer. A very unprofessional letting agent from Martin & Co Wanstead ,he booked me for viewing two flats via email & phone ,I took my day off and I travelled 1 hour and 30 minutes to Wanstead , However he didn't turn up to the given addresses .Even worse ,when I called him ,he told me that the viewing was cancelled without notifying me , he tried to justify that he left a voice message for me ,which I cound not find on my phone . Honestly, I didn't expect such a horrible service and unprofessionalisme from a big company like Martin & Co .I was totally disappointed and he made my day awful and horrendous.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Repeatedly left messages to enquire about a property with no response from the team. I have previously enquired about another property and it eventually got sold . i do find the estate agents will only entertain your enquiries /discussions if they like you. They don't like answering direct questions and always seem to beat around the bush. The last property that I enquired, the lady that contacted me did not seem interested at all and this time around after leaving repeated messages, i still have not received a phone call yet. I have even sent an e-mail today as the call centre staff said that they are probably busy but in the interim the property is off the list. Highly unprofessional so far with the experience i have had with them.NegativeResponsiveness

Really bad service never ever let with them! They never fix anything! Don't reply and Don't help you just make falls promises! Don't respond to e-mails or phone calls! Only call when They need there rent! So disappointed! 😂😢 the stress They give you makes really sick at this! Update: we Fix the problem by moving out. the mould in our flat became so bad that it was dangerous for my pregnancy. We still get our contract send to us by email every single day and we moved out 1,5 years ago.

After my partner viewed a property we were keen to offer and pay a deposit immediately as we were going on holiday the next day. No response to our request to offer, no offer submitted yet we were told ‘all offers were sent to the landlord and he went with another option’, which I would have accepted had somebody actually responded to our interest or allowed us to offer. Poor process and poor communication.

There was clear communication between your partner Lucy and our office, which is evident within the email trail and there was nothing to stop you from formally making an offer. As no formal offer was actually made, we took it that you were interested at the asking price and so informed the landlord of your, and the competing applicants’, situation. The landlord attended the office to discuss and consider all applicants situations. After making a decision based on the information received/provided, we informed all applicants via email. We appreciate that this was not the desired outcome and are happy to find you a suitable property in the future.
