I let a room from them. They were late to respond to the problems and very disrespectful when I was leaving. If you are letting or planing to let from them, I suggest to take photo of every bit of the property from the first day. I received a room with construction dust and left a clean place behind. Still they have cut from my deposit. It is not about money. 72pounds is not going to make me rich but the attitude was beyond rude. We deserve better than this. I will never use or suggest anyone use their services.

Cooke and Curtis are a small, family-run business. They only have one person trained to do payment accounts - so when she is ill or on holiday, the payments system is delayed - as this week. It took a long time, and detailed series of emails, to get the exact specifics of all the variables as to when payments might come. Don’t expect or tolerate a simple answer. Their system is as it is, doesn’t work at weekends, is dependent on when tenants pay, and subject other variables of up to 5 days delays as to the usual earliest possible date. The computer system that deals with payments is also unable to separate costing to be charged elsewhere, from deductions to clients accounts - resulting in further complications. This is all as it is - they need to train at least one other employee to do the payment accounts - to have a comprehensive copy and paste document which covers the range of possibilities for when rents might arrive in a clients account, and ideally use a more complex system for accounts, which can cope with multiple clients concerning a single property. I’m sure they have some redeeming features, but on the few occasions I’ve spoken to them on the phone, I haven’t been impressed by their attitude. One guy was a bit supercilious, referring to a property as ‘nice’, in a patronising tone of voice. On another occasion, a lady seemed to live up to the ‘curt’ part of their name. When I’ve tried to feedback some criticism before, it was taken as a personal attack, and this probably fell on deaf ears. Sorry if this seems a bit negative, but they need to improve their business standards if they want glowing reviews, which I am quite capable of giving, if the service meets basic standards of doing the job efficiently, and without hassle or unnecessary attitude.

Terrible customer service, communication beyond terrible, not to mention rude. Would not sell my house with this estate agent.

Was dealing with Aimme and Karen. Terrible customer service and they simply do not care. Took them a week to send application forms and when they did, the room was take. Feel really let down by the people i trusted to help me in such a complicated proccess!

Cooke Curtis & co were as pleasant and helpful as anything; up until they had our money in their hands. From which point on, their charade of attentiveness subsided; leaving only pettiness, persnicketiness, and disrespectfulness. If you in any way value yourself as a tenant, you deserve better. Avoid at all costs.

Everyone at Cooke and Curtis that I engaged with were polite and courteous, but I was disappointed that I was very rarely told about feedback from viewings. It's quite a personal experience to have people view your property when you do not know them, so not to get feedback was disappointing. At times, it seemed I was forgotten about and had to chase for updates. Occasionally, after viewings, my property was not always left in same state or condition. I hope this feedback is taken on board.I did get a couple of offers on my property, but was unfortunate they fell through. My property was on the market for about 6 months. This was a lot longer than expected after dropping the price, given that my property is well presented and in a good location. However, even if I did not get any offers and it had taken longer to sell, my review is based on service and therefore this would have been a lot higher if this had fully met expectations. I am now in the process of switching agents, to try something different.
