It took me a while to write down this review as I wanted to be more objective and let the steam cool off. But the situation still leaves bitter taste and I would like to share a warning about this company. The people who work in the Teddington office are nice and helpful and never had any problem with them. The situation with their Property management people is quite different and I will not mix both as they are not related. When we left the last property we rented through the company, the Property management was very unhelpful, I can even say quite manipulative and we were not aware of a lot of important details and their actual intentions were unclear till the last moment (when it was too late to do anything). The Property management was clearly defending the owner's interest, which is ok, but not when it is obviously one-sided and unfair. For example we paid good sum for compost in the flower beds (???), marks left from blue tack on the walls, etc. If you are interested in more detail I can give more information and details on how they processed our case. Just want to warn you about possible outcome of your rent ending.
Please reconfirm and verify every statement carefully. Agents like this harm the industry. The agent we dealt with was highly unprofessional. As an international student group, we were unfamiliar with the rules around letting in the UK, and the agent took advantage of our lack of knowledge—possibly even taking us for granted. The agency, represented by this agent named Anisa, collected £496 as a holding deposit but never refunded it. To make matters worse, the agent never informed us that the deposit was non-refundable. It’s a real shame that we lost that money under such unfair circumstances, and it’s unlikely that anyone will benefit from it.
Called them every 2 days, gave my information and let them know that I am still waiting and after 2 weeks of not returning to my calls, they are letting me know that the house is gone.. That is simply brilliant..
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this estate agent. Not only did they question the authenticity of my payslips although I had provided 6 months of payslips without any basis, but they also made unfounded remarks about my marriage because my husband apparently didn't seem too interested for them in the flat, they felt the need to say my marriage was fake for this reason. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable in any industry. I would strongly advise against using their services. I will also be making a formal complaint because I don't believe they have any right to accuse me of anything especially to question my marriage! Disgraceful behaviour.
Jackson Stops sent me a copy of the key to my property in the post, stuffed into a normal envelope (just normal post, not registered, not a courier service, nothing at all secure) in the envelope was a cover note with my address on it. Yes, a key in an envelope with the address of the property that the key can open typed on a cover note in the same envelope. Can you believe it?! How safe would you feel as a tenant knowing that their concern for safety was basically that low?

Throughout the time we were expanding the family, they fostered an adversarial atmosphere between me and the landlord, making it seem like I was the cause of problems. It was clear they were not acting as a fair mediator between the two parties, which is what I expected from an agency. I've tried reaching out for assistance with the deposit process, but unfortunately, I haven't received relevant response- they still refer it to the landlord -again. This lack of communication and their divisive approach has left me feeling completely let down. I hope this feedback helps them improve their services for future clients."
they provided us with a very nice flat which we love however every interaction something went wrong and they caused us immense stress. they messed up our background checks, forgetting to send things to lettingshub. they made mistakes in our contract and we had to resign, they promised we would get our keys on the morning of move in day but the clerk refused to hand them over and we had to stand in the flat for over an hour waiting for him to finish inspecting so he could hand them over. They have caused my partner and i so much unnecessary stress over mistakes on their part.
They said they would ring or email me with an answer to my question. They did neither. Most disappointing. When I need a Teddington agency it will not be this one. Michael Collins 30 Bolton Gardens.
