Dear Paula, I understand and appreciate your frustration, especially given the distance involved, and I would like to clarify the situation. We had a number of viewings at the property prior to your booking. Paperwork to apply for the property had been requested twice, but when my colleague confirmed the viewing with you, no paperwork had been returned or reservation monies paid. The property was still fully available. We regularly send out paperwork without ever receiving an application - it is for this reason that viewings are booked and carried out until an application is received. On this occasion, reservation monies were paid to us on the day of your viewing. You were called as soon as possible to make you aware that the property was no longer available.
