Very disorganised firm. Often have to resend emails two or three times to get a response. As well as this they often hide many things behind their contracts and never provide clarity. They were very good at the start of the process but seems as soon as they had taken my money they started to mess me around and be very unreliable.
Very sarcy tone in the emails when we try and get something fixed/sorted in the house. Very impersonal and commercialised service and empathy nowhere to be seen
This company is a cancer, useless staff in the offices who do nothing but sit around collecting their wages, the houses are in beyond disgusting conditions, I was sick the whole time living there until I left (coincidence?? Nah) and they will do not a single thing about anything at all. Don’t be fooled at all by their one dimensional mundane personalities and their too good to be true cheap prices.
I've never had a worse experience. These are sales people. Once they have you in a property, they don't care for your rights. Constant invasion of privacy. Had viewings for tenants in my house twice a week ever since moving in. Never renting with these again.
Started off really well until we tmstarted reporting maintenance problems. Big chunks of cement kept falling off the roof, 2 years later still not fixed. Fan not working properly in the enclosed bathroom causing mould to build up, again still not fixed. That many more problems reported I can't remember them to list. Told us at the start of this year the landlord wanted to sell which was fair given the current climate. Then communication completely broke down. Went out one day, came back an hour later to find a sold sign on the house. Given the fact we're a family, a little heads up would have been nice. Be more than happy not to deal with these again - nice enough over the phone but too sketchy with poor people skills.
I couldn't advise anyone of a worse estate agency than NH. One of their properties, 44 Queen Anne Street, was a terrible place to live. The place was riddled with maintenance issues, some of which still remained at the end of our tenancy due to their inaction. Stay away!
Worst renting experience ever! I would have give 0 star if I could. The house look fine when we did our house viewing, but after we sign the contract, things just got worse and worse. First, We were not able to move in according to our contract starting dates. They claimed is because they need to clean and double check everything's alright. But the fact is, they did nothing about the house! beds were broken, heating were not working, the house condition was extremely awful !! They haven’t done ANY CLEANINGS. We weren’t able to use the internet for a Month! and no tele was working even though we paid for tv license! Everytime we called them reporting these issue, they just make excuses and not solving those problems. Our shower head was broken as well and we could not take a shower at all. We told them the situation and hope someone could fix it ASAP, they said ' you can take a bath', I mean, who will take baths only for 3 months straight.This is just ridiculous!! Worse case, they lied about 'bills included'. They said all bills are included on the website and contract, but we actually need to pay an extra 24 pounds each week where we already need to pay 90 per week, which is a total scam! I would never ever recommend anyone to rent house through Humphreys.
Do not rent from here! There are so many problems with our house, none of which have been solved after living here for 4 months. The banister was broken before we moved in, which we were told would be fixed immediately, but have heard nothing more on this. There are stains on the walls and ceilings, mold growing throughout EVERY room, none of the windowsills are secured properly, the drains are constantly blocked, the stove does not work. We were also told that all bills were included in the rent which was NOT the case and have each had to pay an extra £110 a month in bills. The house was not cleaned at all before moving in, I found 6 empty crisp packets scattered around my bedroom alone, and we had a slug infestation! We constantly have bailiffs around for people who haven't lived here in years and Nicholas Humphreys refuses to give a forwarding address. If I could move out immediately I would, this is by far the worst place I have lived in.
