Friendly and helpful staff who helped me sort out a room to rent at short notice. Megan made it very easy to organise my move and was a pleasure to meet!
Mark was the vendors' agent for our new property. He ensured that he communicated well with parties at all times, was a pleasure to deal with and worked hard up and down the chain to get the deal done.
Received quality of service comparing any other high street agents. Normally they are quite cheap and reliable as well.
Martin & Co has been my letting agency for a few years now and they have always been so professional for finding right tenants for me and so quickly. I really feel at ease when dealing with them and in particular Rebecca ( letting coordinator) always been charming and helpful when I needed advise . I highly recommend this agency which have been in business for some time in heart of Staines.
Good and Bad The good bit. The staff were communicative and helpful when it came to finding a property. After this point I dealt directly with the landlord which was equally positive. The bad bit. There were a number of charges that I thought were unfair including a fee to provide a reference for my new landlord (when I moved out). Also an automatic increase in the rent is written into the tenancy agreement.
If you’re thinking of selling your property, I’d seriously reconsider using Martin and Co in Egham . As a potential buyer, I’ve tried multiple times to get in touch—left messages, sent emails, and even followed up—but getting a response is nearly impossible. If they treat buyers this way, I can only imagine how many opportunities their sellers are missing out on. A good estate agent should be proactive and responsive, not make it feel like an uphill battle just to express interest in a property. Sellers, if you knew how difficult it was for buyers to reach this agent, would you still trust them to handle your sale? Something to think about before you list with them.
Totally unprofessional people, they work just on behalf of landlords and if you have a problem takes ages to be sorted out. I don’t recommend.
My rental at this address should not even have been fit for purpose. How the previous tenants ever get deposit back is beyond me. Gas hob unusable. Damaged electrodes, filthy rings. Had to replace with induction. Sink in kitchen damaged with stains in the bowl. Bathroom sink taps dripping. Filthy windows, smeared, all carpets needed vaxing as stunk of curry. Loose cupboard doors. I have rectified most of it myself but the state of the gas hob should not have been put on market. Luckily the landlord is a descent man and agreed to change. I feel animals must have lived here before. If you view a property with this company check everything and take photos. Rushed first viewing. Very unprofessional. Will never use again.
