From start to finish their expertise and professional yet friendly manner gave us the reassurance we needed as first home buyers throughout the process. They really standout as real estate agents for me because they were honest, approachable (not afraid to ask silly questions), not 'pushy' and really felt they were trying to develop a relationship with us to make the process as easy and stress free as possible. Particular mention to Louise Walker and Sam for their efforts in easing our stress. Would highly recommend if you are looking to sell/buy in the St Albans area. When picking up the keys to our new house, the bouquet of flowers and card were a nice touch. Will certainty be using them again in the knowledge we have real estate agents we can trust. Ashtons were brilliant in helping us buy our new home, they kept us informed regularly on progress and were really quick to chase up any delays and issues. They were much more proactive than our estate agents (for the property we were selling) and I would definitely use them if we came to sell in the future.

Pleased to give Ashtons a very good rating after dealing with them on a rental property. Phillip, Brett and the team are professional, helpful and willing to put in the extra effort to stand out from the competition. Many estate / letting agents are far from their level.

Our initial experience of renting a property through Ashtons was seamless. Alexander, from the St Albans branch, is an asset to the company. He has been both professional and very responsive throughout the process. Thank you for your hard work and assisting us so effectively! Edit - Since our contract was started with Ashtons in April 2021, we have had nothing but stress trying to get rental property issues remedied. We are currently on our third property manager from Ashtons. Over 6 weeks ago we reported rising damp, severely high levels of moisture in the property (water pooling in window frames etc.), and black mould in the bedroom. This issue still hasn't been dealt with, and Ashtons are not proactively chasing our landlord for a response or for action to be taken. We have even attended the branch to raise the issue and it is not being addressed to the required standard. Update - Ashtons have since been prompt when discussing property issues with us. We have been made aware that there were some understaffing issues. These have since been rectified, and Ashtons are back to providing a great service - so much so that we have been viewing new rental properties with them!

Generally really helpful staff but an automated booking process that could perhaps be a little clearer.
