Avoid at all costs!!!! They will do absolutely anything to push a sale through even lying to their clients! They are completely unorganised and UNTRUSTWORTHY! Me and my partner are first time buyers and we’re interested in an apartment in the town centre. We tried to arrange a viewing where the first time they just didn’t turn up because they booked us in for the wrong property and the second time they didn’t have the keys (both times we booked almost a week in advance and taken time of work). When we decided to move ahead with the property as soon as we got past the stage of paying the solicitors, paperwork came through and we found out the property had been on the market for three years !!!!!! But it had been advertised as three MONTHS on the Belvoir website! We would NOT have touched the property if we had known that it had not been sold for three years! We were wanting to sell it again in a few years and if it was on the market for 3 years with no interest then this is alarming! When we asked Belvoir why the paperwork said 3 years they said it was true, it was up for 3 years then they briefly took it down for a month so they could repost it (basically refresh the feed to try to get more interest) FALSE ADVERTISING!!! SO DECEIVING and ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS RESPONSE after. I then asked what the price they had been advertising the property for the last 3 years was and in response they said they didn’t know!? How can they NOT KNOW? …. They should have all the paperwork there?- GO AND FIND IT! SO UNORGANISED and gave us a horrific experience as first time buyers. As a first time buyer you want to be able to trust the people you are dealing with. Buying a property is a daunting thing as it is but it should be an enjoyable process… Belvoir twist and withhold information just so it benefits them. We lost money from having to pay the solicitors for the work they had completed up until that point and we pulled out the deal. Not a CHANCE do we trust anything or any information Belvoir provide us with.
Pretty annoyed with the service. I asked three weeks ago for a viewing for a property I was told they'd get back to me, sent an email this morning requesting a time which I replied to in 2 minutes. Just rang them yes it fully booked sorry. Why bother even emailing me to let me know about viewings. Just time wasters to be quite honest, mess you around and drag things out unnecessarily
I was with Belvoir Sheffield for six months, and we did not get any help about it. I want to be fair and honest when I am telling to people about the company . First of all, they will ask you to clean your before you leave the property and when you receive the property did not clean professionally (unfair comparison). Again, I asked them to help me with the oven where it was stopped working without reason, and they leave me for three weeks eating from a restaurant without any apology email. I fixed it using my money to avoid eating from the restaurant, and I believe it is a good idea where crazy to stay t more than half a month eating from the restaurant. Finally, I am waiting for my deposit to return to my account, and I will keep you first with old pictures, and then I will add new photos when I left the flat.
Worst review ever, the office in sheffield only cared about their service with me up until i paid the rental fee in full and signed tenancy agreement. after that, i received an apartment with so many issues, the office were disrespectful to me, i had to chase them down to get the items in the apartment fixed to before i moved in and still waiting. the dishwasher, extractor fan and chest of drawers were out of order. the apartment walls are filthy. when i first received the apartment the bathtub was filled with dirty water. i can list a ton. my emails were ignored, they kept stalling to answer. the inventory was incorrect. it was my worst experience ever. after looking at previous background research to before i moved in, i honestly thought i was dealing with a professional, high end agency. i do not recommend the sheffield office, i really am disappointed. and even if you do decide, make sure you check the inventory sent by the letting agent because my inventory was dishonest and not what i recieved as an apartment. i am so disappointed by the customer service
Avoid at all costs Fail to communicate that the property needed work prior to signing of rental agreement. Multiple contractors involved in making the property fire safe. We were unaware that the property was not fire safe. Having to constantly make time for contractors to enter the property and move the furniture in an already small flat. Stressful and could have easily been disclosed prior to agreement. Staff argue they had no idea about the works - this only demonstrates their incompetency. Not worth the stress and effort especially when their are cheaper nicer alternatives.
