Friendly and efficient team. Good, local knowledge of the market and no excessive void periods in awaiting new tenants. A major plus, is the information source on latest regulatory changes, Government legislation and the future housing market outlook. Appointed Northwood almost 5 years ago, and long may it continue.
I have a 3 bed terrace that I now rent out and over the last two years Northwood have guaranteed my rent. I get less but being far away it gives me peace of mind to let them get on with most things.
Chris and Sharon are our main contacts and their service is always excellent. They have managed the property for 4 years and we have nothing but praise for their professionalism. Communication is always prompt and helpful and as we spend all summer away from Sheffield it is good to know that there is someone on hand if the tenant has any problems.
Nice people to work with. When you are far away from the property itself it is reassuring someone is able to help the tenants with their problems. We had big upheavals for the tenants when major work of a month was needed. They helped with getting contractors for me so this took some of the stress for me. They visit the property regularly which is also very reassuring for me. I am on a yearly guaranteed rent scheme at the moment.
I have a mixed experience with Northwood, being a renter. Emma is really efficient and organised, and will always resolve my issues as best she can quickly for my property. However, emergency issues that happen over the weekends or when Emma is away have been poorly dealt with and I've ended up having to contact my landlord directly. However, the current team is definitely more organised and efficient than the team I dealt with when I first moved in over 4 years ago.
The staff are all very friendly and are generally quite quick at replying to queries, however they do not reliably pass information between myself and my tenants and never volunteer information without me first getting in touch with them. When I sent an email of complaint they did not even acknowledge my concerns or disappointment.
Absolutely shocking service just been to view a property even though it’s already been taken by someone else, the company didn’t even have the decency to inform me or cancel my appointment I was stood out in the rain with my 19 month old daughter for 20 minutes not happy with this service at all.
I would’ve given -10 stars if I could. None of the employees are helpful at all, they don’t reply to emails unless it’s for their own benefit (aka getting money from you). Even when you call them they just try to get rid of you without even listening to your enquiries properly. They don’t give you advanced information about things that you will need to know about the property and when you ask they just avoid answering cause it’s too much work for them apparently. Overall, the worst agency I’ve had to deal with and the poorest service.
