If you are a tenant, steer clear from this agent. They are from, start to finish, about milking every last penny out of tenants. Throughout my time renting a property through them, they tried to find every possible way to extort money from me. It was extremely stressful and upsetting, and they managed to ruin two Christmas periods for me with their shenanigans. If you must rent through them get all agreements and communications in writing and take comprehensive photographs of the property upon moving in and moving out. Check your rights when they attempt to charge you for things as they will try and make you liable for things that are legally the landlords responsibility. And if you are a landlord, I implore you to use a different agents if you have any care and consideration for your tenants and view renters as human beings rather than just a resource to be exploited.

Can These management people explain to me why the pics of damage in every room is called fair wear and tear by them ? I wait their excuses sorry explination . Also the damage down the walls . If not a cat then this has been damaged by sharp objects , a knife ? . This being the case how is it fair wear and tear ? When first ringing to say keep their bond a rude woman said ... we are not managing your property I haven't seen your flat , I would have remembered ! Some managing property ! Reason the walls and smashed up property are fair wear and tear Martins please ! Bill £385 so far excluding smashed light fittings and filthy carpets ext extra ext

Been with them 8 months, ended up with 13 visits so far, for different reasons. Took 7months to fix lights, Todays saga, our kitchen cupboards have fallen down, theyve sent someone to remove the cupboards but arent sending anyone to replace them until next tuesday, because they have a single contracter. They hang up on you, talk down to you and act like theyre doing you a favour letting you live there, despite the fact that you're paying £600+ rent per month. They are without a shadow of a doubt the worst estate agents ive ever been with. Additionally- in one of the previous responses to reviews, they said they always provide an inventory, we never got one,so i would query this.

Total time waster, Don’t return calls, Simple questions unanswered as always someone else dealing with it, I was suppose to view a commercial property and had scheduled a viewing around 3 weeks from end of previous tenants lease but the diary missed the call back then supposedly they didn’t get back to me as the landlord had introduced them to a family friend who was going to take the unit anyway Common courtesy would of been a call to say this even though the unit was on Rightmove at the time of my chase up call. Would not deal with these if they were last agents in Darlington.

Had a commercial let agreed with Sillars. As I hesitated at paying £350 plus VAT fee for a credit check(!?), they just agreed to let it to someone else. This is not normal practice. I should know. The main point however is their failure to disclose - in an obvious manner, their fees on their website. This is actually ILLEGAL. I wish I could find out if the landlord knows about this profit generating practice at his expense. Oh and surprise surprise - these guys are not members of the estate agents' association.We need a regulator!

These guys rent a house to a man that has stood and threatened to beat up a lady in her 40s that has had below the knee amputation on both legs due to sepsis , because he was screaming and threatening his girlfriend that much she knew, she had to go help the poor girl. 4 houses in a row, 3 bought, 1 rented, 1 has moved out and left house empty, 1 has house on market desperate to leave, and the poor disabled lady just dreams of it not happening. There tenant last night parked on my drive, he wouldn’t answer the door, to move it, I parked my van at bottom of drive, I woke up this morning to my passenger side window smashed and my van rolled into a wall!!!! This company are happy to have unemployed no mark losers claiming benefits and ruining people’s lives.
