I would highly recommend Martin & Co estate agents if you are selling your property. We initially went with an online estate agent (we thought we’d save some money); however, after a few months of our house not selling we decided to bite the bullet and switch to a high street estate agent. We researched and met with a few but where Martin & Co stood out was the work and effort they put in prior to meeting with us for the first time. Gill (from Martin & Co) really did her homework prior to visiting – I was really impressed. She knew exactly what we were selling, how the market was doing around us and gave sensible, reasonable suggestions on how we could improve our sale. She had gone through our online estate agents particulars in detail and highlighted various parts. Her attention to detail was brilliant. I immediately felt comfortable. Following deciding to go with Martin & Co we were assisted all the way, continuingly being kept up to date with what would happen next and when, and these things actually happened (it’s easy to promise but the real test is to deliver). Although we were selling from afar we were kept fully up to date on viewings, feedback and how things were progressing. We had various viewings (online agent only got us one viewing) and within a month of being live we had an offer. It didn’t stop there. Throughout the selling process Gill was a great “middle man” assisting when communications fell short between solicitors and ensuring both parties were up to date on where we were. I felt comfortable knowing Gill was there. She was actually the first person I contacted post our house completing! Martin & Co made what could be a scary, complicated, lengthy process a really smooth, enjoyable experience – they were all really superb. Yes online estate agents are cheaper but they are not local so do not know the local market. They can’t target particular individuals (high street agents can e-mail out that a new property has come on the market, online agents wait for you as a buyer to search it out). It’s just that interaction and having people contact. It’s is definitely worth paying that bit more to have peace of mind you are in good hands - with someone who knows the area, and is more proactive. These latter two online estate agents just cannot give. I highly recommend Martin & Co to others. It really was a pleasure working with them and I am so glad we switched to them.

This amazing team of well dressed, smart, polite and very professional people helped my family member move in to a lovely clean and modern property. Carol understood exactly what we were looking for in a property, from our very first telephone call, she couldn't have done much more ,Carol found the perfect house. Sophie had no problem answering all our questions straight to point and in a knowledgeable polite manner. Charlotte explained very clear how all the administration worked. The turn around time was better than they anticipated, between herself and the accounts dept they obviously work extremely well together. The team made everything very clear to how they process each application, this didn't take long at all. I would highly recommend that you visit Carol and the team at Martin & Co. Renewing tenancy

My partner and myself are currently in the process of buying a house. Our tenancy became up for renewal and whilst we are happy with the house we are renting, we can’t commit to 6 months due to buying a house. we requested to go on a month to month basis as we have 2 months left of our tenancy and are unsure when or if the house purchase will complete. This was communicated with the landlord and we got a positive answer back within the day which is really helpful to our current position and means we don’t have to worry about what happens whilst the house purchase progresses.

End of an Era

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Martin & Co and in particular Denise Feather, who has been my point of contact for almost 15 years. Throughout that time we have been abroad and have left our property to be managed by the Martin & Co Saltaire, who have been outstanding throughout the period.
