All staff were very helpful and considerate. Transaction went very smoothly and efficiently. Thanks to Jason Williams for his professional assessment of the property. Thanks to Jack Jefferson for his patience, kindness and confidence. Thanks to Hana Thomas who was always accessible and kept us in touch if anything changed or needed amending. Thank you all. Many Thanks.
It’s a year since we moved and forgot to leave a review. Hass and the team worked really hard to promote and sell our house. Pictures were great, they didn’t hard-sell people - they just got to know the property and matched it with a perfect buyer. They worked really well between us and buyer - constant comms and explained things clearly. We met quite a few agents that were complacent and lacked urgency…didn’t get that from any of the team at Sawyers. Recommend.
The Best service we've never paid for! We completed in October 2022 so firstly a big apology that it has taken us so long to leave this review!! Sorry for the long review but I feel if I keep it short I wont say enoughbutif I write more it's too long, here goes. We are not actually customers of Sawyer & Co which makes the service we received all the more remarkable. We were chain free buying a house which was empty, chain free and had gone through probate. It should have been the simplest kind of purchase. We made a mistake by going with an online solicitor in Birmingham who was monumentally inefficient and rude, and sloppy even by normal solicitor standards. We were assured a completion date of mid august. We extended the lease on our flat and booked removals based on this advice. 3 weeks of that time were wasted by our solicitor childishly arguing with the other side because he “didn't like the way they were speaking to him.” We found this out retrospectively when begging him for an update didn't work and we had to resort to writing in all caps, underlined with the multiple exclamation marks. Thinking it was some kind of “own” against the other other side the buffoon forwarded the message thread he'd had with the other side which showed that he'd wasted 3 weeks of our extension on completely childish nonsense. He was the Head of Conveyancing by the way. I won't say any more about him but just trust I could write pages about him, and I have the receipts for all his mistakes. If the purchase had fallen through we would have complained to the CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers). That was our side. The seller had their own reasons for being disinterested in the sale. And for privacy I wont say any more than that. We have since learned the reasons and completely understand but at the time all we knew was that the seller was very hard to reach. So much so that they only wanted to be contacted by email and would take days to respond to the simplest of questions. Instead of moving into the house we had our hearts set on in mid august we put everything we had in storage and were technically homeless, living out of suitcases in Air B&B's (not cheap) and with friends. We still had no idea if the sale was even going to happen! The shining light in this was Lucy! Even though we weren't her customers she gave us first class treatment and service. Her hands were tied with with her client ghosting her and when we couldn't get an update from our solicitor while we had been living out of suitcases wondering if the purchase was going to fall through, wondering if we'd made a huge mistake, and with our mortgage offer running out of time, Lucy was there for us. She took every call with the same, calm, cheerful manner. The amount of times I'd called Lucy I would have expected to catch her in an off moment, a busy period or a down day, but she was always the same. During the toughest part of being homeless and being ghosted by our solicitor and the seller if I had detected a tone of exasperation or boredom in Lucy's voice I'd have been crushed because she was literally the only person we had faith in, in the whole process. But Lucy was so kind and patient with us we felt like we were the only sale she was dealing with!! I cannot praise and thank her,and Hass and the team at Sawyer & Co enough. The service was literally life changing and have never been happier than we are now in the perfect home.... And when we do sell in the DISTANT future Sawyers will be only firm we call.
Sawyers were fantastic in helping us source and complete on a new property in Brighton. A special thanks to Lucy the sales progressor - we couldn't have completed on time without you! Thanks to all the team - you were great!
Hassen and the team secured us a great deal on our sale on our first open day and provided alot of help and advice along the way. Lucy also did a great job at making our sale progress smoothly even after a few bumps along the way. They made our dream house a reality and without the input from everyone it wouldn't have been possible. 🏡🎉 …
Sawyers have been amazing, thoughout the stages for the sale of my house . These have been difficult times with the economy and the sale price achieved was fair and realistic. They are extreamly professional whilst being friendly. Having had to use two estate agents buying and selling, and having two conveyors buying and selling, together with 6 in the chain, it hasn't been straight forward.
We have just moved into our new home in Poets corner and wanted to thank Hass Aaron and Lucy for their advice and support throughout the whole process. They were really professional and also went out of their way to ensure it was a very positive experience. I don’t intend to move again for sometime but when I do I will be calling Sawyers!
Following recommendations from two sets of friends we instructed Sawyer & Co to conduct the sale of our home. Hassen Zahid is Senior Property Consultant with the company. Hass’s knowledge of the property market, the local area and his natural social ability sealed the deal for the sale within a few days of the launch. During the conveyancing process Hass kept in touch with us until Completion. We’d like to add our appreciation of the team at the Preston Park office and pass on a special mention to Lucy Cratchley, our super efficient sales progressor. Her professionalism, cheerful nature and tireless efforts to support us through the stages of the conveyancing process were second to none. With many thanks indeed Lucy and Hass.
Buying a house, even if it's the most perfect house, is still the most stressful thing ever. Ours completed right before Christmas and cannot thank Lucy and Aaron enough for all their help to get it over the line in time for the festive break. We had such a great service from them both from start to finish and wouldn't hesitate to recommend and use them again in the future!
