Service was great at the beginning, then Matt left.. then Grace.. swiftly followed by the personal service we were receiving. I understand it takes a while for new personnel to get to grips with all of the clients but not to know who we were or what the house details were at completion was I feel pretty lacking. My friend took the keys in for me the day before completion and the agent knew nothing about house or our name. We did not receive even a telephone call to say congratulations your property has completed. I felt it was all about the money not the service.. no personal touches.. Such a shame as always found them good in the past
Initially it went for auction. The auction took place in the wrong area. When a buyer was found the sale was not followed up and it fell through. It wasn't until their employee Grace Martin in their Redditch Office took over the sale, it was sold within 24 hours and the sale was followed through. She did more in a month than previous staff done in ten months. I do not feel service favoured costs.
Poor internet access at home didn't help However I would choose a local solicitor where you can talk and deliver paperwork . Several of the items we uploaded were mislaid which added to the stress of the process , poor telephone response from a " conveyancing factory " I cannot criticise individuals who are I am sure doing their best . Lots of early promise but not followed up with driving the sale forward. Appalling communication, sometimes upto 3 weeks between updates. AG claim to be specialists in these types of buildings but saw no evidence of this. A huge bill for very very little effort. I would never use them again. They offered no added valve over and above an online agent such as purple bricks. The office is extremely small and inpersonal meaning it's impossible to hold a private conversation and one member of staff couldn't even find our details on their system 3 days before exchange of contracts. No log in details provided for their on line property sale/ tracking portal so cannot comment on this. Hopeless. With this level of service it's no wonder online portals are taking over, saving you a huge amount of money.
I have been really disappointed in Andrew grant, the gentleman who came out to value and set up the sale was great but unfortunately he lest a few weeks later and the whole process has not been good this is the reason we have taken it off the market
Rented a property through Andrew grant. The service was terrible. I was repeatedly told that items would be emailed to me the next day and never arrived, I was constantly having to call up Andrew grant to get anything done. I would ring at 3 in the afternoon and told by the agent that he hadn't looked at his computer yet!! Absolutely terrible service, I would still be waiting on the property now if I hadn't phoned them. Will never use this company again.
