I went with Winkworth for one reason. While all the estate agents that gave me a valuation spent five mnutes telling me all about the properties that they recently sold, only Robin Miles from Winkworth actually talked about the vendors and buyers and what they wanted from the property. It's this focus on the buyer (rather than simply playing a numbers game) that matters. In practice, we agreed a sale in one week despite listing at the same price level as all the other estate agents suggested. Unfortunately, the sale was hit with an unfortunate set of of problems caused by multiple incompetent conyencers, but despite the numerous farcicial screw-ups on multiple sides, Robin and his director Michael kept chasing and made sure that I and my buyer were kept up to date. I'm happy with how Winkworth performed, but ultimately the test has to be - would you recommend the Reading Winkworth team to someone you cared about? The answer in my case is yes.
