We have had our keys a week now and me and my partner just want to thank moving works for making the experience go so smoothly. As first time buyers we didn’t really know what we was doing but they explained everything as we went and I feel took on a lot to help us. From start to finish (which was only 8weeks!!) Richard has been brilliant, updating us at all times, getting information we ask for. Just fantastic. So overall, brilliant experience to buying a house which is obviously a very stressful process.

Very good service received from the Moving Works team although we didn’t manage to get a sale within the 16 week contract. The staff at MW have been so friendly and have worked well with us and for us to help secure a sale. We reluctantly have taken our property off the market for personal reasons but do believe that the MW team were doing all possible to secure a sale. Fully recommended for all the right reasons.

The sale of my property has been quite a shambles from start to finish. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and certainly wouldn’t ever use this agent in any future house sales. I was pressured by the estate agent to move out of the property daily via phone calls before the sale was even complete. Eventually gave in and agreed to move out as they told me the property would be completing. Ended up having to pay for an empty house 7 weeks longer than I should have. They gave me 10% discount on my fee’s because of the poor experience and the treatment i’d had. My whole experience was completely towards my buyers benefit, constantly guilt tripped to act in their favour, it’s been very stressful. Even today, the date of completion with zero prior communication regarding competition day, I’ve had multiple phone calls asking me to leave work and bring the keys for the house because the new owner was there waiting. No prior arrangement, or to tell me what was required, I believed they already had a key.This is the sale of my first house, so first ever house sale and hopefully I never have to go through this experience again. Certainly wouldn’t be with this company anyway.

Hollie we are sorry that you feel this way, it is always our aim to deliver a fantastic service and to go above and beyond for our clients, however the house moving process is challenging, especially at the moment and there are many elements outside of our control once the sale is agreed. We carried out extensive marketing and we achieved an offer in excess of the asking price for your property within 14 days. The complications in your sale occured during the legal part of the process and were mainly due to an unknown communal management charge that was highlighted by the purchasers solicitor which needed to be satisfied. It is your solicitors job to advise you about how best to deal with this and help you prove that the title of your property is good so a purchaser can complete the transaction. The fact this was unknown is not the fault of Movingworks and this would normally be an issue that would result in a sale falling through not just being delayed. Conveyancing transactions are taking a record length of time at the moment which is frustrating for all parties involved but it is out of the agents control. As an estate agency we don't decide completion dates and therefore you moving out of the house before the date was known is a decision you made. It is very upsetting to hear you feel we favoured the buyer in this transaction and that is simply not true, we work for you and I feel that in this situation we achieved the aim of everyone involved to successfully complete the transaction. It is our belief that if you had of withdrawn from the transaction as you threatened many times during the process it could have cost you somewhere in the region of £10,000 due to how the market has changed since the original offer was made in excess of the asking price. Our director agreed to reduce your fee simply as a gesture of goodwill due to costs you had decided to incur in moving out before you needed too. Movingworks have gone above and beyond to push the transaction through and every member of the team has been heavily involved in getting it over the line. There was added pressure yesterday when completion took place following exchange the day before and in 22 years in business we have never had to request that a solicitor reminds a client to hand over the keys on completion day, nor have we had a situation where a seller leaves an unpleasant note for a buyer in the property. Having said that we will take your review on board, discuss with the team and aim to learn from both your comments and the transaction in general. Beyond useless, would not trust them with buy to lets. No effort made to inspect properties, property was filthy when we moved in, they lied about many things and it was a complete joke from start to end. Would of hated to be the Landlord living in Manchester (not abroad as was told to us). The neighbours were awful and filthy keeping dogs when we were told they aren’t allowed, we paid for a cleaner to clean the shared hallway and the neighbour pretended to the other neighbours they organised the cleaner, there was some strange connection with the neighbour and moving works (we think their relative worked there). There isn’t a qualification to be an estate agent, it’s a simple job, Shame they can’t get the simple things right.

As the property manager we do our utmost in managing rental properties and we conduct ourselves to a high standard and are part of the voluntary industry regulator NAEA Propertymark. There are a number of points in your complaint that are out of the control of MovingWorks and whilst every effort is made to accommodate individual tenants, unfortunately MovingWorks can provide guidance to landlords and advice, but cannot be held liable for the landlord’s decisions. MovingWorks conducted 4 property inspections over a period of 11 months (in question) and all maintenance dealt with in a timely manner when reported. It is also at the landlord discretion if they want to allow pets in their rental property. MovingWorks cannot be held responsible for the communal area and neighbours. To confirm MovingWorks has no connection at all with the neighbour nor did any relative work for MovingWorks past or present.

Awful experience with moving works. Haven’t a clue what there doing an very snotty/ unprofessional over the phone. Would definitely recommend using another local letting agent as these are a complete waste of time
