Best estate agent I have rented from
From the first property viewing I had, the staff really made me feel comfortable and I felt like they actually took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. Being with estate agents in the past I would call about one property and that was all I would be advised on, whereas Red Key took down my whole criteria and although the property I originally called about had been rented, they were able to recommend a property that actually suited me much better. Upfront explanation of costs was another huge reason I am writing this review. I knew exactly what I would be paying and what it was for; a breath of fresh air. I'm now all moved in and happy, so thank you Red Key.

Impressively proffesional and personal service.
Having dealt with lettings agents in the past from both sides of the table, they all seem to suffer from the same failures - that was until I come across Red Key. From the very first introduction I was met by a very personable agent who had a vast knowledge of the local housing market. They thoroughly surveyed my property and gave me a realistic achievable sum which balanced income with speed of let - instead of inaccurate sky-high estimates which result in an empty property for long periods. The rates are fair and offer great value and service for the money - it is worth remembering from both point of view of the tenant and the landlord "you get what you pay for". They outlined certain things that I needed to do to the property before they would begin marketing, where others have turned a blind eye to in the past (elec, certs, suggested improvements, consent to let from lender and freeholder). I am aware of some of the lettings agencies ill-advising tenants and the leaseholders to ignore some of the covenants in the property's lease which often voids insurance and inevitably can lead to lease forfeiture - just in order to fill the property! Unlike some of the other lettings agencies they do carryout thorough checks and references on all prospective tenants before even getting so far as to query me - as with most lettings agents seem desperate to fill the vacant properties with anyone, regardless of suitability. Within days I had a suitable tenant offering the top end forecast, which resulted in a 24 month tenancy, without my involvement whatsoever during this period. They are always there at the end of the line and if not available will always return your call - customer service seems to be king at this organisation. From experience they are by far Newport's finest lettings agency and still after 5 years I wouldn't consider going elsewhere.

Quick and Efficient Landlord Service
Being a private landlord for many years I have always rented my properties online, dreading having to pay an agent their fees, meaning I made less each rental. This was until RedKey laid out the benefits of being with an agent. I usually have a rental void of around 20-30 days between tenants. My flat rents for £600 a month which is around £20 per day, that's a total loss of between £400 and £600, which more than covers the agent fees and they gave me a very swift turn around between tenancies.. Add this to their 4 point tenant reference, makes me a very happy landlord. Hopefully everything stays seamless and easy with this company.
