I’d like to express our thanks to John and Tom for all their help in getting our flat let out. They quickly got tradesmen in to do painting, carpet fitting and some electrical and plumbing repairs, ready for a new tenant. I just rented my house first time as a landlord. Manning Stainton were very professional and made the whole process run smoothly and answered all of my questions promptly and professionally. The letting service provided by Manning Stainton has been generally satisfactory, especially John Sheader, whose prompt communication and efficient handling of issues have been very helpful. I would like to suggest two areas for improvement: 1. After a tenant pays the holding deposit, it would be very helpful to provide a confirmed move-in date. This would greatly benefit new tenants and help reduce potential financial losses. For example, it would allow them to give timely notice to their current landlord, arrange school transfers for their children, organise broadband relocation, and schedule furniture deliveries. 2. The check-out report provided at the end of the tenancy could present a more neutral description of the property’s condition, in order to avoid unnecessary disputes during the deposit return process.
