1 star generous. Rude staff especially someone called Amy. Condescending and stuck up. She was trying to make me feel bad for putting in an offer her colleague already agreed to. Try communicating with ur colleagues more often love it'll help you in the long run. Would not reccomend. Keep looking will be similar options by other estate agents in the area. Ridiculous fees. Seems I'm not alone. Sort ur staff out. The amount you make from tenants could pay for staff customer service training.
Rude staff + They dont pick up the phone or respond to emails + they lost the keys to my apartment
Staff are very unprofessional and very rude and unfriendly! dealing with them is just waste your time.
Disgustingly unprofessional and rude staff. Arranged several booking with a fellow postgraduate student, both of us being from out of town we were unsure about where we ought avoid and where would be a good place to live with regards to uni etc. Having been told to avoid Moss Side like the plague, the estate agent (Alex) showed us a property in Moss Side and then lied to us about the location, we only found out as we had gotten lost and stopped to ask some pedestrians. Furthermore, having wasted our time by showing us two properties, Alex showed us a final property that she assured us was student friendly. We liked the property and decided to put down a deposit. This is where the fun and games began. Having already asked us what postgraduate degrees we were studying over the phone (irrelevant), the same person called back 5 minutes later to ask again what degrees we were doing. When I asked why this was relevant, I was told that "sometimes the landlord likes to know." Fair enough, I thought. I asked whether he was likely to decline on that basis and the agent responded "no not at all." We were assured that he wouldn't decline at all and that it was just part of the standard screening process. In this knowledge, we returned home (some 300 miles from Manchester, assured that we had successfully found a place to live). In the time following, we were then ignored, fobbed off and hung up on for 3 days. When I attempted to contact the branch to ascertain the status of our offer, I had the displeasure of speaking to perhaps the most repugnant member of the team, (I believe his name was Ben). When I politely enquired as to why we hadn't received any news in such a long time, Ben was thoroughly unhelpful and utterly unpleasant to deal with. Having since read online, I've now discovered a litany of terrible reviews about this dreadful estate agents. A number of these reviews directly outline Ben as being particularly vile and self entitled but leave little room ford question when summing up the quality of service provided by Jordan Fishwicks. As a manager, a customer and someone with a modicum of common sense, It begs the question why any sensible business owner should want such a hideously mannered and uneducated person on their team, dealing with prospective clients. Steps also need to be taken about the deceitful and unreliable nature of the service, perhaps some extremely basic etiquette coaching. Fortunately I have been able to alert the student unions at MMU, The University of Manchester and Salford University and they have posted on their pages for undergraduates and postgraduates whom are house hunting and students have been advised to avoid this dismal agent like the plague, on the back of my review and the vast amount that are already available. I have also posted my review on the pages of all house hunting students in the area as a warning. Having been fobbed off, insulted and deceived for 3 days before receiving a spineless voicemail to let us know that we had effectively been lied to and our time and energy squandered, the experience cost us both in the region of £130. This included costs associated with getting to manchester, going to and from their offices and properties. Thanks to the incompetency of this agent, that figure is likely to double pending further visits as we are now without a place to live as the beginning of term looms. Absolutely shocking service, revolting staff whom are unfathomably useless, puerile and unhelpful. These issues are further compounded by the fact that the work base is evidently selected with a complete lack of manners and common sense as prerequisite. Do not rent with this agent.
Worst letting agents I have dealt with in Manchester. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, ARROGANTS. They didn't show up to prebooked viewings and didn't even had the courage to apologize. Another time there was agents on facebook whist showing houses. The WORST AGENCY IN THE WORLD.
Has to be the worst Estate Agent I have ever dealt with. Employees are very rude and know nothing about giving good customer service. They are happy to speak to letters like they are worthless pieces of trash that do not deserve their time. I would never use them again and would highly reccomend all those who are looking to let a property to not do it through this company
Our experience of using Jordan Fishwick has been plagued by shocking behaviour from their staff. They are hot headed and talk to their customers with pure contempt. A recent incident involved one of their members of staff becoming very absuvie after being refused access to our flat. A simple misunderstanding became out of control with Matthew (said employee) became hysterical to the point the concierge didn't know how to deal with him. Stay away at all costs. The hassle / stress is not worth it.
I have endured nothing but bad experiences with this landlord. No repair is ever fixed without me chasing it 4 times. I have faced surprise inspections with little or no notice and criticised for the way my personal items things look at the property, however they choose the shower curtains of all things. I have had many letters sent to me demanding over due rent only to find it out to be their mistake and the mistake to be repeated a week later. We had a wet floor for over a week over christmas due to a leak they didn't get fixed for us after us reporting it several times. We asked for simple changes to be made to make the property more insulated such as carpet instead of laminated flooring. To this they told us the changes had been agreed so we would renew our contract and then just laid carpet down (with no under lay so it is as cold as ever) so there is now a freezing concrete floor with a single layer of carpet over it and subsequently a large gap between the skirting board and the carpet all of the way around the room. All in all bad communication and bad at following up anything you'd expect them to do as your agent. The reviews on here seem to reflect the same experience where the tennent is very unhappy with the experience.
