Our experience buying through Loney Miller was excellent from end to end. When we were first looking around, they had the most interesting and well presented properties. Then, when we found the home we wanted, Lisa worked with us closely to make it happen. Even with some tight deadlines and general uncertainty of lockdown, Lisa was transparent, communicative and solution focused. It was a wonderful experience buying with Loney Miller.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
The team at Loney Millar were professional, honest and supportive. During a difficult sale period they provided excellent and honest advice and ultimately secured a good sale price for our property.
We were offered a commission of 0.5% (inc VAT!) as part of their ‘concierge’ package . I think it’s because there are only two of them and they don’t employ anyone, they have no shop front and their website doesn't get the traffic of the big agents so they won’t have the database of buyers KfH/Foxtons will have. So if you want a low commission they are worth considering on a no sale no fee basis. We went with a more established agent with a high street presence.
Lovely people with a strong sales pitch. However, in my opinion, many of their suggestions and recommendations seem to be much more based on their own preferences and convenience than genuinely be in the best interest of their client. It leads to situations which makes life easier for LM but much more expensive for the landlord. Obviously, as we only have 1 managing agent for this particular flat at the moment, we can not compare to any agencies other but would suggest to look into agencies which might have a stronger management team as a potential alternative. As a current client, Loney Miller have asked me to write a Google review.
Well Loney Miller were the proverbial curate’s egg for me-good in parts. First the good news, they did sell my house and they do take much better photos than other agents. And Bryony is a real breath of fresh air: bright, personable and actually knows how to sell a house. Now to the less good. They took a year to sell my house and it was 100k below the first agreed offer (through a previous agent, which fell through). In addition, some of the sales people are totally lacklustre, they literally toured people around, making very little effort. After a conversation with Jonathan Miller, a couple of months before I accepted an offer, the process did improve considerably-which does beg the question as to why that wasn’t the case from the beginning. Finally, rudeness! They think they know what good taste is (think hotel rooms) and are quite prepared to tell you (to be fair, they feel that this is giving professional advice). And one decided to park in my drive, so when I returned with shopping, I had to look around for a park. And they tried to justify this, rather than apologising. They are well known locally and do sell houses, so maybe I am expecting a level of professionalism you just don’t get in this business but, to me, they are a bit smug and complacent.
We sold our property through Loney Miller estate agents. At first, we were really impressed with the service and quality of marketing we received, as well as the offer process. However, once that was complete and we were in the chain management stage, it quickly went awry. Our agent was generally rude and uncooperative, and did not manage expectations of communications effectively. As a result, when we were expecting a specific update from our buyer on a certain day, when I sent 3x emails to follow up over the course of the week (with no response) I was then met with a rude and extremely patronising phone call from the owner informing me that I was ‘emailing them too much’. Despite us paying them a sizeable amount of money, it felt as if I was getting a telling off from a teacher, and not remotely justified given the circumstances. We then received a fake apology after my husband then called to complain, and they accepted they had been in the wrong, but ultimately no real apology was provided. When the property eventually went through, we had very little communication from the agent, and they couldn’t even be bothered to get the keys from us despite being very close to the property. I was so disappointed in the follow up and after care. I only provide 2 stars on this review due to the initial service provided. But this makes it more irritating, as it felt very much like a charm tactic ahead of getting the contract. We went with this company as we felt the service would be better, and paid a premium as a result, and I would absolutely not recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property in the area. You may as well go for one of the chains!
Very unprofessional. I've had my property valued by four different estate agents and this company valued my property at nearly 75k less than the other three well established agents. Also the other three agencies have followed up the valuation with emails and calls showing their passion to sell my property. However weeks have passed and I haven't heard nothing from Loney Miller. So I'll be using an agency who actually wants to do business. Thanks for nothing.
We have been to four different viewings with Loney miller. Real estate agents are useless . Don’t know anything about the property they are selling. They just stand there, with no value added input. They do not follow up when you have queries - utter and complete waste of time. No idea how they have such a high rating.
