Not impressed with the way the sale was handled needed to be more focused on the vendors requirements rather than the buyers needs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Estate agents are pretty incompetent companies anyway, but Whitegates are on a totally different level! My father used them as the letting agent to rent out his property for 4 years while he moved abroad. Despite advertising they will ensure your property is returned in the same condition it was left in, this is a total lie we returned to a house that had been totally neglected! They dont ensure the tennants are doing basic things such as maintaining a good standard of cleanliness, they dont guarantee the rent if the tennant doesnt pay and they never get back to you or do anything they promise! Essentially you pay them to write a couple of reports every 6 months or so, although these reports are pretty useless they cant even ensure you hold the security deposit if damage has occurred!

The worst agency I've ever contacted to ask about renting a house, in addition to AN AGENCY simply not doing the most important thing which is answering the phone, I've never seen such rude people in my life, serving and mistreating customers...

Asked Whitegates for a valuation on my property. Took all my details and told them my current tenant would arrange date and time. After agreeing a time they then cancelled. I phoned the office and they denied making the original appointment and said I could rearrange. Total wasters. Too much easy business. No wonder estate agents are one of the most disliked to deal with.

Renting from them 2 years always when they need me I have to be available but when I needed them I need to ring them, send emails and they are just processing they will ring me back and fix the problem but they never do. More than 3 weeks I don't have hot water. That is the worst agency ever if you are a tenant they don't care about you at all.

I have ring them up to book a viewing for a house in Oakwood, I was waiting 8 days to view it, after they took all my details (that we are 2 couples, income etc) we want to see it on a Wednesday at 3:30, I took the rest of the day off from work to get there and told me that they don't accept couples only families. I was trying to get in touch with them over the phone they just hung up on me and blocked my number. Amazing job to this company.

Deeply disappointing service.

Not even worth the one star. Very unprofessional, called 1 minute after the viewing time to say there had been 'emergency' knowing the rental market is tough at the moment I opted to wait, 50 minutes later, didn't even have the keys the property, but did have the ones for a family member's back gate, helpful. Avoid if you value your time
