I have been letting through Thomas Morris for a couple of decades now. Their business model has recently changed and although it has been difficult for me to understand who deals with what these days as tasks have become more specialised and I don't have an individual I can approach about each of my properties, this approach has been very useful at the end of tenancy of one of my properties where Sheetal has been dealing with the deposit return and has done a good job, despite being remote from the property.

We've recently had a very challenging six months, as we were unexpectedly informed that our landlord intended to sell the property at the end of our tenancy. Understandably, this was a huge shock and led to some stressful and, at times, heated email exchanges and conversations. Throughout it all, Sheetal has been a calm and reassuring presence. Her responses have always been clear, calm, and timely, and she made a real effort to put me at ease whenever I called or emailed. She handled every interaction with professionalism and empathy, which made a difficult situation much more manageable. We're incredibly grateful for her support. That said, I do think Thomas Morris could improve their internal communication across departments. There were several instances where I felt I had to chase things up repeatedly and include multiple people in email threads, only to be told certain queries weren't within someone’s remit. This fragmented approach added unnecessary stress to an already difficult time. Another positive aspect was having the estate agent serve as a buffer between us and the landlord, who unfortunately has not been the most helpful or sympathetic. While I understand their financial reasons for selling, as tenants who’ve looked after the property and considered it home, a bit of compassion would have gone a long way. Thank you again, Sheetal, for your patience and professionalism during such a tough time. Your support really made all the difference.
