I always found the staff at Northwood very professional, as are their services. My only criticism is the breakdown of payment where costs have been incurred on my property.

The initial response from Northwoods was at best poor. Wrong information given by staff on site and lack of politeness from agent. But they did ramp up a little towards the end

Been left with no hot water for 3 nights now, rang on the weekend to report it as an emergency and was told they don’t work weekends, it’s now monday night and still nothing been done, currently waiting for the plumber to give a time when he can come! disgraceful especially with 3 children in the household!

Dear Amy, we appreciate your feedback and are obviously sorry to hear that you had a maintenance issue. However, as this was reported once our office was closed for the weekend, and contractors not available during that time, we organised a resolution first thing on Monday this week, and all resolved on Tuesday. Not having hot water is not categorised as an emergency and we acted swiftly once we were aware.

It's a shame I can't put 0 as this has been one of the worst experiences of dealing with such an estate agent in all my life!!! We applied for an application to proceed with a rental property and after the landlord agreeing to proceed and taking our holding deposit, we wanted to push our move in date by 3 days due to a family bereavement. Since then, the whole process and service experienced has been diabolical.... they put the property back on the market following this request rather than work with us to come to an amicable solution for everyone to proceed if they were unable to accomerdate the requested date. We raised our concerns and continued to express our intent to the Directors of the business however after raising this to obtain help support and recitify the issues in the matter to proceed, we have been notified this evening that they now believe our application is unfaverable and have secured another tenant, even though we should still remain a prioiry given the holding deposit that remains in place. This is not only unfair treatment but very UNREASONABLE!!!! They also imposed unrealistic timescales of payment when they want to, inconsistencies in their approach which clearly is a lack of a stardardised approach to customer service and not to mention the lack of transparency of obtaining draft tenancy agreements to give tenants time to review their terms ahead of the tenancy commencing. This firm clearly prefers to operate in a non compliant way with the Consumer Rights Act and the Tenancy Fees Act, and does not care if you have put a holding deposit down, not to mention showing a lack of empathy and flexibility to anybody situation if you need to agree an alternative move in date. This now potentially leave us is a very difficult situation given we were meant to be moving in 7 days, the costs paid to secure removal companies and that we are now unable to stay where we are, leaves us homeless with 4 children in toe. I will be raising this to the regulatory bodies as this is not the standards I'm sure that they expect to treat tenants.

Ben, we are sorry to hear of your frustration and understand this. The holding deposit doesn’t serve as a guarantee, a landlord are within rights to redact an offer until a contract is signed by all parties. Prospective tenants have the right. We sincerely hope you find another property soon that suits your requirements.

Dear Mr Moore, your concern wasn't sent through to us from Google until now. We are very sorry for the mishaps on the day of the booked valuation. It was a very busy day and our team member booked to meet you unfortunately ended up having a complete nightmare of a day. As explained, car issues and long distances to travel in Herefordshire from one place to another made it impossible to attend the valuation. We always strive to go the extra mile for all our clients but in this instance outside factors got the better of us. We sincerely hope your day was fruitful and again apologise for not being able to attend on the day.

Was booked for 11.30am, by 11.50 nobody had turned up so rang office - turns out the employee coming had run out of petrol at a previous house so wouldn't be able to get there. Was promised a call back by 1pm to see if it could be rearranged but nobody has bothered to call back. Seems like they were running late and didn't want to work past the 12pm closing time so tried to find a way out of coming.
