My partner and I personally wouldn’t recommend using White and Guard. We recently listed my partner’s property with them. Having previously used them to buy and sell houses in the past as well as let houses (my partner even sold one of his old rentals to a White and Guard staff member) it seemed like a no brainer to use them again. Sadly it looks like things have gone down hill on the customer care side. Our property hadn’t got any viewings in a couple of months (no blame on the agents there) so we decided to take it off the market until things pick up and we can also make some changes to our home to make it more attractive to a broader pool of buyers. When we emailed the chief guy there he ignored our emails and nobody actually sent us any proper communication following that, we just got two people calling to book viewings (clearly ignoring the emails) and then eventually an automated email saying the property had been taken off the market. I had to email again to request the keys back after weeks of nothing. The keys were put through our door but again no communication from W&G. So weird and cringey customer care and completely ruined what had been a very pleasant experience with them. We will now not list future property sales with them, they’re all about getting your property listed, but if circumstances change for you they don’t want to know and won’t even bother with a “no problem, if we can help again in the future please get in touch”email. Terrible customer service approach… shame it’s gone downhill.

Tried to view a few properties but felt like I was wasting his time as my property isn’t on the market for another 2 weeks.. really wanted to see what is out there for what we are looking for and really unprofessional that he slated other agents… very disappointing

Absolutely awful agency. My worst experience ever. I agreed the price with them in February as STC and not even in May the sellers didn t find anything to buy. What business is this when they sell something actually they don t have. This agency didn t send me updates, refused to answer my emails when I asked for updates. They should have been honest from the begining to tell me that I could wait 1 year to have this house. And of course I would have looked for something else. They didn t tell me the truth. They just wanted to secure the sell in long term, blocking the buyers. After 4 month they should have asked the seller to rent somewhere and to search for a property after. I paid for the survey, I arranged my mortgage and I ended up waiting for these people (Bitterne brunch, Sharron and Rebeckah) to tell me how long I have to wait. They didn t bother to communicate with me or to talk to the seller for a solution. Four month I was waiting for the seller to buy something and the agency didn t care. Don t buy houses for them because they are liers, rude and you will end up in rent loosing lot of money. AVOID !!!!

Totally underhand, dishonest and lie through their back teeth. I would not trust this company people. They work hard at playing you off to get the price up. Lying about “no more viewings” while the owner considers your offer when really they are having viewings and telling people if they want it they will have to go above the asking price. Absolutely disgusting and underhand behaviour. Would never use them again!

I suspect these people are lauded but I do not believe they are in place for the common man. Why on earth on their website do they continually display houses that are sold STC!! After hours of trawling through their pages you eventually get to the page of your affordability, only to find ALL are sold STC. You have to dig deep to find any that are for sale within your price range. These people are not the only guilty party, all of the firms in and around are guilty of the same practices. Now they have had a brainwave...Let"s pre publish houses coming onto the market via Instagram so early heads up are available for the 'right' people! So if you're of a mature age, don't have Instagram, what do you do? When eventually you navigate the rigours and traumas of Instagram via a third party phone you find contact details missing, requests for prices of property not answered at all, links not working? All in all it puts you off wanting to move. I believe the arrogance and unhelpfullness of these elite agents is damaging the industry reputation.......however not their pockets

Not my type of estate agent. All superficial showy tactics to sell my property. Went with a different agent who seemed to more genuinely care.

Extremely poor service to the point they created ficticious client to make it as though they were doing something. Lied and blammed tenant when it was them that were in the wrong. Don't respond to complaints through their own web portal or call back to discuss.

Frustratingly poor communicators and not very proactive with their sales. We certainly would not use them again. Very disappointed.
