Restoring faith

On approaching the sale of our property, we were sceptical about the value estate agents could offer, based primarily on previous experience. We're pleased to say that the help received from Mark & Chris at EweMove has removed that scepticism; they have been fantastic value for money. Even at the initial valuation, Mark seemed to have a different approach. He was very realistic, pointing out the negatives of a property as much as the positives. It was refreshing, if sometimes disappointing, to hear! Mark had a clear strategy for sale and fulfilled this perfectly; so much so that we had a full asking price offer within 3 weeks of being listed. From then on, Chris took over and was always aware of the situation and kept us informed appropriately. This was clearly different to any previous experience we had with larger firms, where each query seemed to be dealt with by someone new who did not know the history or position of the sale. Ultimately, the EweMove team did exactly what they said they would do when they were trying to gain our business and we cannot ask for anything more than that. As we have told them since, they truly are a credit to the profession.

We finally managed to do our exchange of contracts after almost 6 months after the viewing as the sellers decided to sell the house to their buyer because their new house wasn’t ready . We had to go through the entire process again and change the contracts and we only found this from our solicitors and not the agent! When we finally arranged to have the exchange of contracts the agent was waiting outside the house , she just handed on the keys and she left as she had to travel to USA? Not a card , not a welcome basket. Nothing . We were also asking about the manuals for the devices and they told us to look online .Glad to be in our new house but so disappointed with the service .
