We found our dream home through Ashtons Hitchin but for most of the purchase process we dealt with Rebecca at Ashtons Harpenden, who could not have been more helpful, proactive and genuinely just lovely. Because of a long chain that included one frankly very rude estate agent who tried to harass us and others, our purchase could have been an absolute nightmare. Instead, we stayed patient while Rebecca chased for updates all the way up the chain and kept things moving along wherever humanly possible. She would contact us about the latest news without being prompted, which seems like such a small thing but really mattered when you felt like you might be stuck in a chain forever and maybe no one will ever tell you if it'll ever end because you're just the buyers at the bottom of the chain, not anyone's paying clients. Instead, we definitely felt supported throughout; Rebecca was proof you can be professional and focused, but still warm and empathetic. Huge thanks to the Ashtons team, and Rebecca in particular, for making the process as painless as possible!
