Bad attitude.

Avoid Godfrey & Barr — completely dishonest and unprofessional. I rented two properties through this agency, and both experiences were stressful and disappointing. The last property, at 54 Oakwood Road, was in terrible condition — a rotten and broken bedroom window left unrepaired for over 3 years, no secure back door, and no working garden light. I had to live through winters covering the window with plastic and summers full of flies, and despite repeatedly informing them, nothing was ever done. After three years of paying rent on time and leaving the house professionally cleaned (with video proof), they tried to keep my entire £3,200 deposit! They’ve made completely false and unfair claims — even blaming me for the rotten window that was already there when I moved in. They also ignored every TDS deadline and provided no evidence to support their accusations. My dispute is now with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) adjudicator because of their negligence and dishonesty. If my deposit had been held directly by TDS, I would have already received my refund — but since this agency held it themselves, I’ve been forced to wait weeks (and possibly months) to get my money back. ⚠️ Be warned: if your deposit is held by Godfrey & Barr (not directly by TDS), you may have to wait months to recover your money. Always ensure your deposit is protected directly with TDS, not through the agent.

Sara is the worst letting negotiator I have come across. Not a people person at all. Very disappointed in G&B's choice of employee.

Tried calling to speak to an agent.. only to be spoken to very rudely and abruptly by a woman that sounded like a Barbara ?? only wanted to enquire about buying a pent house suite in London area well that's a sale lost!! terrible
