Extremely unprofessional, negative and rude, was my experience of their so called 'senior valuer'. She never shock my hand, was negative and 'picky' all the time she was viewing my property... she kept saying... "oh I thought it was over looked, that would definitely reduce the valuation..." but it's not over looked which she then had to agree... "Is your boiler big enough for this size of house...?" Yes! but she already knew that... it was a new-ish boiler fitted by British Gas. She then valued my house £40k less than 2 other local E.A's..... When I stated this she replied... "Well we can put whatever selling price you want but it won't sell...." At that point I said thanks, I'll think about it... she promptly got up and left, not even shaking my hand.... Needless to say (using another local E.A) my House sold within 3 months at £25k above her top recommended selling price. Fact.
I have spoke to a lady on phone a few times now and she speaks down to you not professional at all. Very disappointed. Straight away asking if your property has sold rather then greeting customers kindly which is good manners. No customer service skills. It’s a shame as really liked house but couldn’t view even though I’m in a position to buy. Very frustrating. My mum had. Same issue.DO NOT PUT YOUR HOUSE UP FOR SALE WITH THEM.
Highly disappointed with the fact they cover areas of designated flood risk zones and do not mention this to potential buyers. Some people might want to get out and run AKA sell up and leave the ever increasing future flooding risks to some other naïve purchasers, but surly estate agents should spare a thought to the people who could end up buying a whole load of problems. And what about the property values as this flood risk to these parts slowly increases. Not good.
