Very poor experience of dealing with Cheffins. Although having done nothing wrong there was a total lack of interest in us as a buyer from the initial viewings to the sale. The only exception was Neave who was excellent in progressing the purchase.
Could not find bungalow we were looking at. Only interested for price.
As long term tenants in a Cheffins managed property we were always happy with the service. However, their communication and service once the tenancy ended has been frustrating and stressful. Overpayment of rent and return of deposit - both of which have been acknowledged and approved - hard to get a sensible answer out of anyone. First it was "we've lost the paperwork" and then it was out of office responses from the people I'd been dealing with - having to find someone new and start the story all over again twice. 16 days after moving out we still haven't seen the return of our money.
Don’t rent through these people…..Totally untrustworthy, unprofessional and inappropriate!!
A piece of advice: if you are renting and have children, do not take your children for viewing because they will drop your application. It’s pathetic
Despite understanding the housing market is challenging, I was very disappointed by the lack of effort they put into trying to sell my property. I never heard from them, I had to chase them for feedback from viewings. I’d hope for some useful hints that would help but from week 6 I didn’t hear from them at all, I had to call them. Therefore I would not recommend them to anyone.
