Worst place to rent from, never help you when you need them for maintenance or anything else. Literally have to chase them for weeks to get the necessities sorted. WONT RECOMMENDED!

The charges were for the cleanliness of the house and gardening not for any maintenance as you suggest. We negotiated between yourself and the landlord and you settled at an agreed figure. If you were not happy why did you settle at this figure and not raise a dispute with the regulatory body (TDS). I imagine this is because you know this was fair and reasonable and that you hadn't returned the property in a reasonable state. The deposit charges were agreed at around 35% of the deposit with the landlord having to cover the costs for the rest of the cleaning. The deposit was returned to you within a reasonable timescale considering the level of negotiation undertaken.

I would never recommend it to anyone unless he is my enemy 😜. Sharing my true experience which will be helpful to anyone. I had the worst experience with this letting agency. I stayed in the property almost 2 and half yrs .Regularly they were doing the inspection and found everything well maintained which they used to say verbally. But funny when I vacated the house they wanted to deduct 75% of the deposit saying that I have not maintained the house . What a shame , if the house was not maintained they should have informed me after the inspection. But I think they had different plans as I asked for evidence but was not shared and was told that they are not obliged to give inspection feedback. Finally ,I had to go to dps to get a deposit back which took a long time . I would recommend to be extremely careful with this letting agency . Also, owners use to visit property without any information in advance. When I in fact informed the letting agency which seems to fall on deaf ears. Some of the things were extremely good but my vacating the house was extremely disappointing . Though, I am giving one star as one staff member was very good who listened to the concern and addressed the issues immediately. But I think people are in higher positions are not fair leadership .One funny thing is one person works 1-2 days a week and everything needs to hold up for a special person to come and make decisions . But since it is a matter of money I would recommend to be extremely careful as they do not even acknowledge the agreement. Personally if someone asks me to recommend, I would say save yourself mate . If you have to do business with them, you can capture all the videos, photos and whatever possible as evidence and keep all the communication on mail so that vacating the house at the end of the contract is easy and smooth . Do not go by their kind words and friendly behaviour. It could be deceiving and can cost you badly.

This agency is horrific there flat leaked for months over a year & still not sorted. I have pictures the mould there flat caused is shocking. … More

This agency is horrific there flat leaked for months over a year & still not sorted. I have pictures the mould there flat caused is shocking. This is a HEALTH PROBLEM as Mould is a living organism. Which is extremely dangerous but WHITEGATE keep putting back to sort. I will be taking up this issue further as I'm sick of asking. Anyone who wants to see pictures or can help to lead me to best people to claim against this agency let me know please. Thanks

Highly unproffesional, they will try to find any reason to deduce from the deposit(In my case I was accused of being responsible for a pigeon nest on the balcony made after I had already left the property)

Your tenancy ended 3 weeks after you had left the property. You were responsible for the property until the end of the tenancy term, not the date you chose to leave.

One of the most unprofessional and poor valued letting agency in Coventry. They never attend tenants repair calls and solve the house issues. Be careful with them as try to deduct for enormous amount from deposit. I won’t recommend White gates letting agency anyone.NegativeProfessionalism

You have been charged rent up until the end of your notice period. You believe you should be charged rent up to the day that you surrendered keys. We act for the owner and are therefore obligated to charge rent for the correct period. During your nine month tenancy you raised 13 repair issues and there was an ongoing complication with the hot water tank, which eventually involved contacting the manufacturer. On each occasion contractors have been instructed and various works have been completed. Your statement regarding repairs is utterly false. During your tenancy the landlord spent £1015.80p on repairs. You did not clean the property, which was newly refurbished before you moved in and the landlord was dissatisfied with excessive wear to the decoration. A negotiated deposit deduction was agreed between you and the landlord and you have chosen to make at false statement within this review rather than invoke the formal deposit dispute resolution procedure available to you. This is an objective response to your assertions that you have chosen to publish online for all to see.

Been waiting 2 weeks to view an property! They gave to another customer ! Just wasted my time! Shame …

Karzan arranged a viewing for a flat and in the meantime we have received an application from another applicant who viewed the flat last week. That person has now paid a holding deposit. We gave him three days notice that we had to cancel the viewing and he became abusive, using disgusting language. As agents we do not reserve properties based on the fact that somebody has only arranged a viewing despite his expectations!! Furthermore, we will not engage with clients who use abusive language. Based on his infantile reaction/conduct, it looks like our client had a lucky escape! We have done nothing wrong at all and this is a good example as to why Google Reviews are often totally unreliable.
