Three stars for the whole process with costs adding up for 12 months. 5 stars for ease of communication with team. The first prospective buyer wasted a lot of time. Second buyer under Nikki’s diligent direction managed to close within a reasonable period. Highly recommend her professionalism and excellent customer service!

Thank you for your feedback and patience throughout the process. We understand the delays were frustrating, but we’re so pleased Nikki was able to provide a 5 star service and help secure a successful completion. Your kind words about her professionalism and communication mean a great deal to us.

There were glimmers of hope along the way, but on the whole, not a great experience. When the process started a year ago (I’ve only just exchanged), I was given a very inexperienced estate agent for the first 6 months, who was absolutely terrible and failed to sell my home. One day, I witnessed him trying to “sell” to a client, as I happened to be home. He just stood there hoping for the best. He hardly bothered to even speak to the clients, despite me taking the time to clarify the selling points to him beforehand. I felt like a total guinea pig - despite giving feedback, and requesting an alternative agent, nothing happened. After 6 months of empty promises, he was eventually fired and I was given an alternative agent (Rob from the Catford office) who was fantastic. He sold my property in 2 weeks following the handover. Just a shame that action hadn’t been taken earlier… Fast forward 5 months after a terribly painful process with a prolonged back and forth between the solicitors that Robinson Jackson recommended (AVOID COOK TAYLOR WOODHOUSE AT ALL COSTS), my assigned Progressor, who I found generally helpful, cornered me by telling me that my buyer will pull out unless I commit to moving on her chosen date, regardless of whether my seller for my onward purchase had confirmed or not. Whilst she was generally empathic prior to this, I found this level of customer service disappointing. I felt very alone for the majority of the time from beginning to end, and feel shocked at the high fees incurred, in light of my experience. Despite the many negative moments a long the way, there were glimmers of hope. Thank you to Jamie, Rob, and Mark (Catford office) for making the experience a bit better. Your empathy, experience, attention to detail and reassurance helped.

Promoting polluted, car clogged rat run suburbs. Very sad to see an estate agent being so short sight. 👎👎👎 …

Our situation may have been somewhat unusual due to the way the buyers interacted with us as sellers, but we believe certain aspects of the process could and should have been handled more efficiently and professionally. As first-time buyers, they often approached us directly with important negotiation-related questions far too late in the process—at a point where we had little room to make decisions that would also serve our interests. This, in our view, reflects a lack of guidance and support from the agency, who should have positioned themselves as the buyers’ main point of contact and provided clearer direction throughout the process. In our communication with the agency, we frequently felt dismissed or as if we were an inconvenience. We received responses like, “I didn’t read the email, I just forwarded it to the buyers”—this in reply to important, time-sensitive questions. On other occasions, responses were cold and lacked any real willingness to assist or support us. When we purchased our home through a them six years ago, they explained that they tend to favor buyers, as they are likely to become future clients when it comes time to sell. In hindsight, knowing that our property had changed hands every five years or so over the past 15 years, we should have been more cautious in choosing RJ as our agency. They clearly prioritized the buyers throughout, and we ended up bearing the greatest financial loss in the negotiation.

AVOID. Disgusting practices. Cutthroat mercenaries. They tried to straight up rob me through a legal loophole they thought they had. Worthless criminals. Yet another instance of corporations trying to push around individuals. They actually tried to intimidate me too.

Worst estate agent to deal with. People working in Catford branch are unethical and unprofessional. proper rip off beware. I had a bad experience dealing with them. Got a property for rent from them and they play around with us. Unprofessional and fake commitments
