pros: - we lived out of country when we signed the contract for this property. a lot of agents wouldn’t accomodate that but Hunters did. - they use an online reporting system for any issues that arise at the property. They would respond to an issue within one day and would sort it out within 3-4 days which was marvelous. - very friendly staff and good communication. cons: - when we received the property it was in a very dirty state. despite agreeing that the carpets will be washed before our contract starts, it wasn’t done. So we had to stay with friends for about 4-5 days until we painted it ourselves and a new caroet was put in essentially making the property livable. - when we left the property we were charged 42£ for a missing smoke alarm because we accidentally took it with us even though we said we will return it. 96£ for a broken radiator control valve even though it was alteady broken when we got here but we didn’t need it so we didn’t report it. 100£ for the cleaning!!! even though when we left the property it was 100 times cleaner then when we got it.

Regarding the other comments, We had the property and carpets professionally cleaned before you moved in, sorry this was not up to standard. I recall the cleaners came back to rectify this and as you mentioned, the landlord had new carpets fitted. I'm not sure how you can accidentally remove a smoke alarm! We had tenants moving in the same day the inventory clerk reported the alarm was missing so we had no choice but for the inventory clerk to replace it as this is a legal requirement and had to be noted on the inventory. The radiator valve wasn't broken on the inventory when you moved in which is why the landlord wanted you to pay for that. The inventory clerk determined that the property was dirtier when you vacated than it was on the check in report but you were not charged for that cleaning. Great agency who provide a great service and advice when you require it. Very professional and accommodating. Never got the sense that my issues weren't important - and they did everything they could to assist me during my three years at one of their managed properties. Would recommend to fellow tenants.
