Extremely Disappointed – Dishonest and Unethical Experience I had a truly disturbing and disappointing experience with this agency. Honesty and transparency should be the foundation of any rental business – unfortunately, this company demonstrated neither. I rented a property through them, only to discover after moving in that there was a mortuary directly beneath the house. This was never disclosed to me during the rental process. I was exposed to extremely distressing scenes and sounds, which severely impacted my mental well-being and forced me to relocate shortly afterward. Not only did I suffer significant financial loss due to the unexpected move, but the agency also refused to return my deposit, despite the circumstances being entirely due to their lack of disclosure. This experience was both emotionally and financially damaging. I would strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company. Transparency and ethics matter – and sadly, this agency failed on both fronts.

Feedback is extremely important to us as we work hard to ensure that we are offering the best possible level of service we can. We have been renting the flat that you mention for many years and we are always sure to explain to prospective tenants that there is a ‘chapel of rest’ situated behind the building where the flat is positioned. You mention the importance of honesty and transparency. The flat is not above a mortuary, it is above offices, and the nature of this commercial business is sign written above the door, so we can only apologise for any confusion. You were given the opportunity to break from your tenancy early, with no penalty and the landlords were happy to forgo the usual notice periods to allow you to move quickly after you had expressed that you were unhappy. With regards to your deposit, unfortunately the checkout report indicated claims that needed to be made, which were completely separate to any notion of non-disclosure regarding the commercial premises below the flat. We wish you well in your new property.

The worst experience with an estate agents I've ever had! Was told the cooker was being replaced as the current one was disgusting, and upon moving in there was no cooker so we was without a cooker for over a week! Was given wrong information from a team member in regards to rent so we ended up paying 2 months rent upfront instead of one month, even though i questioned this but she insisted i set up the standing order for this specific date (I ended up having to resolve this with the landlady). No communication within the team which resulted in me fixing their mess up and it was indeed a big mess up on their behalf! They had given me 3 different bank account details to send money too and I had sent the money to the first account details they sent me, but they constantly harassed me to send them money even though I had and i even provided the reference of the bank transfer, so instead of following this up with their accountants, they persisted on chasing me for it. So I had 3 different employees with 3 different account details emailing me which to me did not sound right. It was eventually resolved yet again by me contacting my landlady. The property also had mould in, yet upon viewing it was not there. I reached out to the agency about this when we got the keys and the girl I spoke to was denying it was not mould though I proved picture evidence of the fluff growing off the wall. They had proved our moving in experience be extremely stressful along with having a 6 month old baby. Sadly I would not recommend with the experience we have had.

You were given a rent free period prior to the start of your tenancy to make your move easier. Your tenancy outlines the rent payment due dates, so we are sorry for any misunderstanding over your payments. It is our understanding that these additional funds were subsequently re-allocated to your next month’s rent. We wish you well in the continuation of your tenancy which is managed directly with the landlord.
