Very good service. I'm a rental tenant, and Emily is always so helpful and replies very quickly, which gives great peace of mind, and helps to get any issues sorted out right away!
Although representing the vendors, Ed Casson and the team at the Great Dunmow office were supportive and proactive from start to finish, contributing to a successful purchase.
Mullucks has managed the letting of our property for twelve years with good service and no concerns. Zoe has handled the day-to-day matters for us over many of those years brilliantly, acting quickly to any tenant maintenance issues and responding to us with information and progress.
It's an estate agent. They try to get you to pay more than you can afford. Still haven't got back to me with a suitable property, and the property they said would be on my price range is double.
Your claim that you “put people first and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service” couldn’t be further from the truth. On Tuesday 18th November, we received an email (attached) from Clare Branker that was clearly meant for our landlord, not us. The mistake itself was bad enough, but what was written in the email was even worse. We were shocked to see you encouraging our landlord to raise the rent because of the new Renters’ Rights Bill. A law that is supposed to help protect tenants by making sure “homes are safe, decent and affordable.” We haven’t even lived in the property for a year, our contract isn’t even close to being renewed and this suggestion has come completely unprovoked and out the blue from you as the estate agent, not the landlord! It is clear that this advice was for your own financial benefit - not for ours, and not for the landlords. So if your a landlord and are reading this, and you’ve recently received an email from Mullucks, suggesting you put the rent up because of the "new law," please know this advice is not genuine or in your best interest. And if you’re a tenant being told your rent is going up, it’s worth knowing the idea has come from the agency, not your landlord. With the cost of living already being so out of control and stressful for so many people, sending out emails like this and then brushing it off as an “administrative error” could really have pushed someone over the edge, who is already feeling financially overwhelmed! You should know this! It is honestly disgusting. As a company, you should be ashamed of how careless and insensitive you are, just seeing dollar signs and disregarding what this actually does to peoples lives! I’m still waiting for a proper explanation from Clare and from Mullucks about why you’re actively pushing rent increases to landlords totally out of the blue in the first place. An “administrative error” and "market valuations" doesn’t explain that. Do you even know the type of house we live in? We live in a 2 up, 2 down, mid terrace, no garage, box garden house and already pay £1500 per month. So no Clare "market valuations" does not fly! Shame on you!
Poor, viewed a commercial unit and said i would take the lease, Kirsty said she would be in touch the following day but i never heard anything.
Our experience with Mullucks has been consistently disappointing, unprofessional, and at times, outright discriminatory. Most recently, they handled the end of our tenancy in the most appalling way. The landlord gave us notice and then tried to take money from us for clear wear and tear — and instead of advocating for fairness, Mullucks (especially Clare) completely mishandled the situation and offered no support. Their communication has been poor, evasive, and unhelpful throughout. This isn’t the first time we’ve had issues with them. A few years ago, when we were trying to rent another property through them, my wife was asked if she was pregnant. Shortly after, we were rejected for the rental, and another family was chosen — likely because the landlord (who lived next door) wanted to avoid the “noise” of a young baby. Asking if someone is pregnant during a rental process is not only inappropriate but discriminatory and unacceptable. We’ve since purchased a lovely home through Oliver Minton, a much smaller agency that has shown far more professionalism and integrity than Mullucks ever has. Avoid Mullucks like the plague — they have repeatedly proven themselves unreliable, unprofessional, and discriminatory.
I wish it would allow me to leave a zero star review. As a tenant, I have been absolutely appalled by the extremely poor communication skills and incompetence I have experienced with this branch. From the very beginning, our initial viewing where the estate agent George turned up 45 minutes late with no communication or update. Many occasions of being told I’ll receive a call back from Gareth regarding important issues but never did. Mullucks are very pushy when wanting a review, well here it is. Having experienced and still experiencing absolutely terrible and unprofessional communication with Clare over many issues with our property. Lack of empathy, abrupt and ignorant. Very poor estate agent!
